The Mom and Friends Lunch...

met up with BFF'S and The Mom...Sunday lunch... this place is off the so called beaten path, yet easy to find and in fact is nearby to several other eateries, by near by I mean at least 4 other places within a 100 yards... seated in the screened in 'outdoor' dining room...very casual, for... read more

The music was fun and the cocktails cold...the food not so good. Had a fern salad... Ferns tasted moldy and the ends showed they were clearly old.... Had some chicken..super small portion for the $$.. Nothing great...everything need seasoning...disappointed ..

Not a lot to say----people were very nice but the food was just average and not as good as our other eating experiences in Haiku

We had lunch here based on a recommendation from a travel guide book. I have to admit, when we first walked up to it I had my doubts. We didn't see anyone around at first and we were coming from bright sunshine into a covered patio area. Once our eyes adjusted, we could see there was additional seating inside, but... More

We stumbled on this little place driving from Makawao back to the Hana Highway. Grilled Ono sandwich was perfect with a dill tartar sauce, and my husband said the brisket sandwich was the best barbecue brisket he had ever eaten ( and he loves barbecue). The owner was friendly, attentive and interesting to talk to, we learned quite a bit... More

We had lunch here following our bike ride down Haleakala and was very pleasantly surprised. The owner is French and the food had a definite French influence. I had the fern shoots salad which was delightful, my daughter had a delicious chicken salad and my vegetarian sister had one of the best meals she had on our trip - a... More

They offer a very diverse menu. I believe they cater to both Locals and tourist. They had a barbecue brisket special the day we were there. They also offer local favorites such as Lau Lau and Kalua Pork. The prices are very reasonable. The value for priced paid is great. They were doing quite a brisk take-away business. Plenty of... Varied menu served inside or outside in local restaurant. Prices are reasonable, and portions are large. Plenty of free parking (almost always a problem on Maui) adjacent to restaurant.

My group came here for the ucelele band that plays on Fridays. They have a different entertainment each night. I tried the Hawaillan plate and went with my 2 choices of shredded pork with cabbage, creamed spinach with squid plus sides. It tasted good and was filling meal. I also had their mango martini which was fruity however was not... More
