Not standing up to Expectations

The service is friendly however the food is no better than Mainland Denny's though cost you a long penny. Ala Carte so no toast with the breakfast, coffee though comes in an thermos and is good. You will probably enjoy the view, which we did but the food doesn't even match the expectations so after... read more

The food and beverages were delicious and well-presented. Prices were extremely high. Service was most attentive.

The mixed grill was incredible, especially the kalbi ribs and venison sausage! And the staff was so, so kind! They even laid out a place setting just for our baby, complete with baby utensils, and they brought out mashed bananas for her. Oh--and the housemade Hawaiian buns are ludicrously good and served warm. It was our daughter's six-month birthday, so... More

Breakfast was delicious but very expensive ($8 for juice). Lunch was ok, nothing spectacular. Service was very attentive.

We stayed at the Lodge and had breakfast here daily. Every morning it was great. My favorite was their cappuccino. I don't know what they do, but they are addicting! Great view overlooking the grounds of The Lodge.

I had the beef which was Vietnamese style and it was ok but not great. I also had the watermelon salad with feta cheese and also just okay. The service was good and atmosphere pleasant but a little dated on decor

The Terrace is located in the Great Hall at the Lodge of Koele. Dinner nightly with a local musician to keep you company. The quiet elegance, good food and service makes for an enjoyable evening.

This restaurant is one of, if not the best restaurants on the Island. The people that work here all go above and beyond to make each dining experience better than the last. There is a new option at dinner, a vegetarian menu that we tried last month. Everything was outstanding and the tofu dinner was quite innovative. It was nice... More

My husband and I ate at the Terrace last week and both had superb meals. The Terrace is the restaurant on one side of the Koele Lodge's lobby - but it feels like you are somewhere else. The lobby bar is set just aside of it and the decor is beautiful, rustic - it feels like you aren't in Hawaii... More

My husband was extremely adventurous with his seafood, bird and meat combo meal. I picked the chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The chicken was prepared to perfection! Dessert was equally delightful and the atmosphere was truly romantic.
