A decent place for lunch, and convenient while visiting Waimea canyon. The Portuguese bean soup was not bad, and apparently scratch-made, though not very flavorful. Cornbread was additional cost, but was a good way to round out the lunch. All windows along the front, and we enjoyed people-watching (and chicken-watching) out in the visitor center parking area. Overall better than... More

We went to Waimea Canyon and expected to be down the mountain by the time it was lunchtime, so didn't really expect to eat there. As it was, there's so much to see in this natural beauty of a place that, by the time we reached Koke'e Lodge, it was well passed lunch time and we were ready to eat.... More

I liked the warm, moist cornbread, but the clam chowder was average. Service is good and quick, the atmosphere cozy, and the facilities clean.

We always pack our lunches when on Kauai to avoid expensive meals on the go. Since we saved a lot on dining out on our trip we decided to "indulge" here. The food is served on paper plates with disposable utensils and the food was just OK. What they lack in serving size they make up for in service. The... More

The best part about this place was watching the chickens running around outside. The food was either canned or frozen -like a TV dinner from 1950 - and expensive for what you got. Plastic forks and floppy paper plates didn't help. I felt like it was a bother for the staff to wait on us. The curt responses were on... More

This unassuming place had surprisingly great food. We came right after 11am, and I think this attributed to the food being so hot, fresh, and delicious. We ordered Portuguese soup (super flavourful), cornbread (moist, cakey, and hot-out-of-the-oven), and a hamburger (tasty, homemade patty). It is very casual (expect paper china) but worth a trip for lunch as you head back... More

There are a lot of mixed reviews about the Kokee Lodge, but the experience I had was pretty good. Three things were recommended to us by one of the guides we had - the cornbread, chili and coconut pie, so we tried all three enjoyed them all. The coconut pie was the winner of the three things we had. The... More

Nice little casual resturant in the canyon. The only place to eat unless you bring a lunch. Menu was small, but had simple food that made everyone happy. Our son had a hamburger and we each had the steak patty with gravy, rice and vegetables. Food was tasty and prepared quickly. Nice little gift shop with bathrooms. Bought the chickens/roosters... Worst, most over priced meal I've had in Kauai since I moved here 9 months ago. Basically it is cafeteria food, served on paper plates with plastic utensils. The $10.50 burger came with no fries or even a bag of chips. My vegetables with the pork and rice- clearly from a can or looked to be anyways. When we left... More

A perfect lunch stop! After a 1 hour windy trip up the canyon we enjoyed their pulled pork sandwich and their corn bread side with Portuguese Soup was simply outstanding - warm, friendly service and not busy at bang on noontime! There is a fireplace with comfy furniture as well as a long set of windows overlooking the park area.... More
