Good Beef!

Had my birthday dinner here! We had the Pan-fried peppercorn crusted Rib-Eye and the Sizzling Steak. Be careful--it really is sizzling and will burn you or stain your clothes if you aren't careful! both were cooked as requested and very good. Mixed bag on this one. The steak was well prepared and I enjoyed the meal but it's expensive even by Hawaiian standards. The only other problem was the service was slow, very polite, but a bit slow even for Island Time. Worth while stop but don't be in a hury

We smelled the food as we drove through Waimea on our way to Waimea Canyon, and decided we would have lunch on our way back. My wife & I had hamburgers that were very tasty. But an added feature was the soup & salad bar. The papaya seed salad dressing was delicious, & the onion soup was teriffic, & you... More

This is not the world's greatest restaurant, but it's open a lot in a small town where other things may be closed, it has a big menu and the prices are reasonable. You could get a nice meal and a drink or two. It's known for steaks, but you could cobble together a fish meal or even a decent veggie... More

This is an interesting place. Fun decor, unique gift shop. accommodating staff and where else can you get a kau kau tin lunch pail filled with FLAVOR !? The kau kau has 3 stacked compartments. The bottom one has sticky rice and Kim chee, the middle glorious smokey chicken and the one on top tempura vegetables and shrimp. Tons of food... More

Just down the street from the Waimea Plantation Cottages, this restuarant was a perfect place to stop for lunch after visiting Waimea Canyon. We had the Paniolo burger with sauteed onions bbq sauce lettuce and tomato along with the Kalua Pig which was roast pork with cabbage. Both entrees were very tasty. Along with the entree was the included salad... More

It is a good restaurant, and given the amount of restaurant (not food stand or food truck) in Waimea, I would say this is the best one. We had dinner there on our first night in Waimea. The special that night is lamb chop, which was delicious. Dinner came in a large portion, and self-served soup and salad. Price is... More

We both had the "Kau Kau Tin Cup" lunch and it was fun and good quality. it consisted of some rice with kimchi and ume, tempura and korean style chicken. It was good. The washroom could use a bit of a clean but I'd still go back for more.

Stopped in here at Waimea town for lunch on our way back down from the Canyon. Restaurant located in an old sugar mill building on the main stretch. Burgers were juicy and tasty and fries were really good. Salad bar also available with your meal. For a town that doesn't seem to have many decent places to eat, this is... More

We were doing the tourist thing on Kauai, visiting Waimea Canyon, Barking Sands Beach, sightseeing and it was lunch time. Wrangler's Steakhouse appears on the front street, seems nice, let's give it a try. This was a quaint place with period decorations, very Hawaii. I ordered "Kau Kau Tin Cup" because it sounded different. This dish was served in the... More
