We are the original JoJo's! Although we have expanded with a second location in Hanalei, our goal has remained the same - to offer the ultimate in shave ice on Kauai! We don't use commercially made syrups that most of the others buy. Instead we carefully make our own syrups with a lot less sugar but even more flavor. No corn syrup. Only pure cane sugar and some of the freshest Hawaiian flavors. Combine this with our JoJo's "da secret sauce" i.e. homemade creams, countless flavor combinations/add-on's, one of the greatest shave ice machines and you've got unmatched fluffy shave ice! In addition, we are committed to giving half of our profits to Makanalani, a camp for less privileged youth right here on the Island! We love our community just as much as they love us! Come in today and see why our shave ice is a local and tourist favorite! Mahalo!

Good, glad we went

Shaved ice was good & ice cream was even better. $ was a little high, but isn't everything in Hawaii. It would be nice if there were bathrooms nearby that were open.

No one does ice and syrup better than Jo Jo's!! Their ice has the perfect texture and they are not shy when it comes to syrup. Their list of flavours is long and perhaps overwhelming but who doesn't like choices. Although they are famous for their shave ice you must try the strawberry ice cream..... INCREDIBLE!!!

Came here after a jaunt at Pilohale Beach around 11am, only ones there. I ordered a blueberry/strawberry shave ice over macadamia nut ice cream. The shave ice was tasty for sure, but definitely needed the spoon to eat it, as it was hard to eat without. The macadamia nut ice cream is the best I've had, just amazing. And the... More

Wow! We'd heard of President Obama's love for shave ice and this visit did not disappoint. Many flavors with very smooth ice. Check it out!

I do enjoy a good shaved ice, and it was a hot day when we stopped for one. Even though we were the only ones in line, it still took 10 minutes for them to get our order to us. Could use a bit more syrup. I do like the smaller sizes that were offered.

go here! This place has a great halo-halo. Highly recommend it! Their shave ice creations are creative and tasty. (there is a similarly named place across the street. It's not as good.)

I miss the dirt floors and the manual ice shaver. the newer machines are too consistent and its more like a snow cone than shave ice. Still, they do a good job but im not sure they are better than the rest anymore.

Too sweet for adults, but teens loved it. It is interesting to watch how the ice is shaved, sculpted into a ball and the colored syrups applied. I would guess that even a small one has a more than a day's requirement of carbohydrates.

Have the #10. Large portions and not skimpy on the syrup. The only drawback is... it is so popular that the line at times is long and service can be somewhat on the slow side. BUT WELL WORTH THE WAIT.
