This is great restaurant for a nice quick dinner, the food is of great quality, but the menu is limited.
We are locals and we have limited options on the North shore. We have some decent meals here and some shockers. I have finally concluded that buying say three appetizers between two of you with a decent glass of wine is the best way to go. Somehow they have to take a hall and give it a cozier feel though.... I had about 60 minutes to get from Makai to Princeville, check-in, and have lunch before my tee time. Heard good things so thought The Tavern was the way to go. Great choice. I had a BLTA (avocado) served on focaccia bread and it was delicious. Something about the tomato really stood out. The guy I was golfing with ordered... More
After reading some mixed reviews we still dropped by for a quick bite. We had great service and the tavern burger is incredible.
We have visited Kauai for twenty years for outdoor activity and relaxing, and we discovered Roy's Tavern 'hobby' with new friends after morning golf soon after it opened. We were wowed and have returned often to enjoy the specials of the day based on available fresh ingredients, be they fish, foul, veggie, or pork/beef/etc. I once had fresh caught marlin... More
The view over the golf course is spectacular. The food is stunning and the wait staff were so friendly and accommodating. Our party of 6 had a great time here.
After a busy day we were looking for a quick bite and found this gem. The short ribs and fried chicken were fabulous as were the banana crepes. You must try their Mai Tia's, not too sweet with a muddle of basil, excellent. Wait staff was quick, efficient and very friendly.
What an amazing setting and meal. Not an extensive menu, but what the Tavern has is very well prepared and presented. Very good service and you can't beat the view. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Needed a place close so went here. We had been eating in hanalei and wanted something a little more upscale. No trouble with seating. Wait staff attentive and knowledgable about menu. Menu is short but they seemed to do an excellent job in the kitchen. Cocktails very good. Had the mahi special and it was the best fish I had... More
The Tavern at the the The Prince golf course is surprisingly affordable on the north shore of Kauai. This does not mean its cheap by any means but you can pay the same price for food cooked in a bars kitchen, served under a shaky overhang, and get half wet in the process. Since it is attached to The Prince... More
