The ambience and service here were spectacular I was very pleased with our server who did not rush us and coursed things out perfectly. The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the lobster mashed potatoes. Look forward to dining here next time we stay at the St. Regis!

We were taken by some friends who had been staying with us. The service is still not five star, but the food was better than previously and if you go early and watch the sunsets (around 7.00, now) it is quite mystical. Try the Monchon - my favorite.

This was by far the best brunch I have ever had bar none. Service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and more than helpful. Food was spectacular. Can't wait to come back. Nothing negative at all.

Excellent service, food, and ambience. Unfortunately people felt a need to bring their kids here. We were on our honeymoon and were shocked people with little kids were seated at the prime sunset view tables. Folks don't bring your kids to fine dining restaurants especially at romantic resorts! There are so many other places you could eat that your kids... More

There is nothing to dislike about Makana. Service, food, wine list, dessert was great. The views are breathtaking. Is it cheap? No, but we've spent more on a meal many times. If you only go out once in Princeville, go here!

Excellent breakfast food: my favorite is pancakes with coconut syrup, whip cream, toppings of chopped macadamia and coconut slivers - great if you want to increase your cholesterol count Views of Hanalei Bay and Bali Hai are unbeatable Great waiter - ask for Jimmy "Kimo"

I wouldn't choose Makana Terrace if I were staying elsewhere, but for avoiding a night time drive in to Hanalei and for the fantastic view, this is a good choice. The sushi is very good, we had a fabulous server both nights (Flynn), and you can watch the sun set on the mountains across the bay. If you choose wisely... More

What a great meal, from the specialty cocktail to the bottle selected by the Sommelier all the way to every course we enjoyed! Best all around meal and service on Kauai. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the restaurant and Kauai. Definitely worth the price and the sunset was AMAZING.

My wife and i wanted to enjoy a nice dinner out but was very dissapointed for a varity of reasons; first we wanted to sit with a view of the bay but was told those seats were not available, so instead we were seated next to the drink stand. After we noticed there were at least 3 tables with 4... More
