My husband and I went here on our honeymoon, knowing we would be splurging, but we expected more. Having both worked in fine dining restaurants ourselves, we felt the service was very stiff (although we did hear other servers interacting much more with their customers, so it may have just been our particular server). The food was good overall- I... More

We stayed at St. Regis Hotel and were excited about dining at Kauai Grill after reading all positive reviews. We were extremely disappointed at the service, ambience and quality of food and thought that it was ordinary at best.

We were fortunate to have a window table and could see the most spectacular view of Hanalei Bay. Surfers, paddle boards and a group of Hawaiian monk seals were part of the scenery, finished by a brilliant sunset. The meal could be the best dinner we have ever had - Sashimi duo appetizer - wow!! Still want more of that... More

It was our 32nd Wedding anniversary and was wanting a nice place to have dinner. Asking around from the locals, the Kauai Grill at St. Regis kept coming up. The restaurant seemed a little dated but the food, service, and view of the sunset over the ocean was great. It was on the pricey side but worth it for the... More

Perhaps we came at a bad time but the noise level in this restaurant really put us off, it was louder than a sports bar during playoff season. Even at a table for 2 we had to raise our voices just to have a conversation with each other. Luckily the manager came by to check in and immediately offered to... More

I was so looking forward to seeing the St. Regis Princeville resort, since this was where we were booked for our honeymoon until Hurricane Iniki diverted us to The Big Island instead, an island we absolutely loved. When we arrived for our dinner at the Kauai Grill, I was surprised at how the resort did not look or feel very... More

What an awesome experience. From the warm greeting by the maitre'd to the excellent service the evening was magnificent. We dined just prior to sunset and had a fantastic view of the setting sun with whales playing in Hanalei Bay. The food was some of the best we had during our two week stay on Kauai. This proved to be... More

This place does not have any visual appeal. The decor was plain and boring. I did not care for the seating, half the table is a round booth and the other half with heavy chairs. It was hard to get in & out of the the booth and the tables were too close to each other. It was very loud... More

This is THE high end restaurant on the island. It is a Jean Georges restaurant with excellent food - expensive but worth it. Lovely Hanalai Bay views from cliff tip St Regis Hotel.

First of all, THE VIEW. Beautiful, it really doesn't get any better than this. I highly recommend booking your reservation for around sunset, it will be well worth it. Secondly, THE SERVICE. It was impeccable. We visited Kauai Grill twice during our recent stay on Kauai. The first evening my server Sequoia was very professional and even gave my husband... More
