This place is just pure fun. Its a hole in the wall, literally! I'm not normally a hot dog fan but these are delicous and not messy. They use uncut buns and basically poke a Puka (hole) thru it and toast the inside for a nice crunch when you bite it. The dog (either polish sausage or veggie) goes in... More

I have to say these hotdogs are the best, my wife and I come here every year and this is our first stop. I just discovered that they have a lava sauce which is a bit hotter than the jalapeño sauce, it has habaneros in it. It was epic! The lemonade is really good as well, I know it has... More

Was extremely good. I played it safe and got the mango sauce, regular garlic sauce and the Hawaiian mustard. It all just works so well together. My other family members tried the spicier garlic sauce along with the pineapple sauce and both were great. Would recommend if you want at hot dog on Kauai.

Prices were great for the experience attached. I was a little worried about a sweeter sauce added to my hot dog, but it was probably my fav place to eat. We each got an original dog (mild), one with coconut sauce and the other with pineapple. I LOVED the coconut, if I could I would eat all my hot dogs... More

This is not a gourmet lunch, but for a hot dog it is delicious. Definitely try the non-traditional toppings. That's the only way to appreciate it.

We saw the Anthony Bourdain episode featuring Puka Dog in Honolulu. When we saw it in Kauai, my husband was super excited! I have to admit, I was a bit sceptical about trying Puka Dog. I am not an avid hot dog eater but my husband loves them so we had to try it. Because we just wanted to tryi... More

Sorry. Really wanted to like it but the polish sausage was too salty, the bun was not too fresh, the sauce was too sweet for my taste. Glad that I gave it a try though.

Everyone said we must try the Puka Dog while in Kauai. I must say I was somewhat surprised to find it in a mall. I thought it would be a small stand alone stand along the road. The day we went it was quite busy. They had plenty of help and the line moved fairly quickly. I had the homemade... More

Had a great time on Kauai, until this experience. If you are missable in your job, then quit. Food was great, but young man behind the counter needs to find a new job. This even after giving a 15% in advance.

My husband always has to have a Puka Dog when on Kauai. The trick to enjoying the sauces while eating they your Puka dog is to make sure and push up the sauce that collects in the bottom of the bun. Don't miss out on the Lilikoi mustard, my fav
