Had dinner here more out of default, because the other restaurants had a long line and we did not want to wait. I hesitated going here because I have been to several Roy's throughout California and have found the food average at best. The fish I had was prepared perfectly and quite tasty. The bread, which you must request, was... More

We spend a fair amount of time in Poipu and we always enjoy Roy's. They are in a shopping mall with no ocean view, but the ambiance is still very nice. The food, for a chain restaurant, is always consistently good. The service has always been solid and the wine list is nice as well. One night we were at... More

It's a tradition that we eat at the local Roy's when we are in Hawaii, so we have eaten at many different Roy's for many years and we have enjoyed it. This was a mixed experience. The meat and ahi dishes we had were excellent. The other fish dishes (Kampachi and Cioppino) were overcooked and over-salted. We have had much... More

Have been to Roy's in several US states. However, every Roy's I've been to in Hawaii has been mediocre. This one was no exception. Service was very good; however food was not particularly good for the price. Between us, we had the crab cakes, the ahi, the scallops, and dessert. Every dish (other than dessert) was over-salted, this coming from... More

Our dinner at Roy's Poipu was our final night in Hawaii after two wonderful weeks visiting three islands. During our time we had many wonderful meals but can honestly say our dinner at Roy's Poipu was the best. The meal started with our wonderful server Pono greeting us with a welcoming smile and true sense of Aloha. Yes, the restaurant... More

Walked from our hotel to shopping centre and decided to have dinner. Restaurant was very busy when we arrived but front of house woman very friendly and said would be about 15 minute wait. when we got back about 15 mins later after looking at a few shops she took us straight to a table. Restaurant is very casual and... More

I had a scallop dish over fettuccine that was very salty. The flavor reminded me of ramen noodles. My son had salmon which he thought was good but the portion was a little small. The best part of dinner was the apple pastry desert with a brandy carmel sauce. Skip the entree and just go for the desert. It was expensive... More

The wife and I had dinner there after shopping in Poipu. We did not have reservations but it was early, about 6:30, so they seated us at an interior table. Did not matter because it is not on the water but in a shopping center. My wife ordered the Opah and I tried the Grilled Meatloaf as I was curious... More

We had popped in the night before and enjoyed a shared tasting platter so decided to come back the next night for a more leisurely meal. We intended to get four small plates to share however we ordered entrees by mistake. Where we come from an entree is the size of an appetiser here, while the next and larger meal... More

We LOVED the food and the service was great! Try the beef short ribs or any of the seafood specialties. We stayed close by at the Koa Kea - you can easily walk or take a short drive from there (or the Marriott) to Roy's. This was our favorite dinner in Kauai.
