Was there on 5/26/06. Generally the Roy's chain offers a consistently good product. This restaurant, however is beginning to show the age. For the prices, linen table cloths would make it seem a little classier. The server had a "didn't want to be here" attitude and wasn't really a "foodie" that knew here sauces and prepreations. We both had prix fixe menu, mine with wine, his without. The seafood ravioli was the best ever. DH enjoyed my assorted sorbet for dessert while I delved into his chocolate volcano souffle. Service was outstanding. more

Roys Poipu Bar & Grill is yet another wonderful Roys Pacific Rim Restaurant. The building is lovely with a free valet service for the restaurant. I've dined at Roy's across the country and am never disappointed by the food. Roy's is a destination restaurant and should be visited when you are in Kauai. Despite roving managers and multitudes of servers I was never able to get the proper serviceware to complete my meal. Steak was served without knives, and dessert was served without forks/spoons. more

Roy's is consistently excellent. We ate at each of the "top" restaurants on Kauai and saved this until last as we expected it to be the best. The food here did not disappoint in the slightest. There is no view here which is the main draw for most of the places to eat on the island. The shopping center is cute so go earlier and walk around before dinner. Service was a bit slow and the food was okay. The outstanding exception was the choc dessert - amazing! I would go again just for that :o) more
