Roy's make excellent food. They sear the ahi to perfection. Their Pineapple Upside Down cake is the best dessert on the island!

We went back and tried Roy's again on this trip and were happily surprised. Since we weren't starving we shared a salad had their appetizer Canoe Boat and appetizer Crab Cakes. The Crab Cakes were so-so, the Canoe appetizers were outstanding! Finished it off with a Molten Lava Chocolate Soufflé, yum.

We dined at the Roy's at Ko'olina on Oahu a week before and preferred the Poipu Bar and Grill. Like on Oahu, the appetizers were delicious, actually more enjoyable than the main course, which was still outstanding.I had the apple turnover dessert and it was perfect. The service was great to go along with the food. You won't be disappointed.

We had dinner a couple nights here on our recent vacation to Kauai. We got a crappy table the first night but the wait staff and food made up for the lack of atmosphere. Try the chef' tasting menu with paired wines. It is a good value and the food was excellent.

Roy's boasts excellent food throughout its chain and the Poipu location is no exception. We experienced friendly service, lovely atmosphere, very fresh fish with expert preparations, along with delicious cocktails.

Our server was good. Not amazing since he disappeared a bit a couple times but still good otherwise. The food was AMAZING but super expensive. Definitely bring those dolla dolla bills. I had the recommended butterfish dish and it was worth every penny and the best fish dish I have ever had. The other dishes my family had were the... More

It is hard to give this restaurant just one rating. The food was a little above average, but not what we expected from Roy's and not what we expect for those prices. The greens salad was good and substantial enough to share, but expensive. The Ahi was $37. It was decent, but the sauce was skimpy and not that memorable.... More

Service was actually pretty bad on the part of the waiter, took forever to place order. Atmosphere, 1. The rest of the staff was very good. Once the order was placed, and food started arriving, the experience was amazing. By far, the best meal I've had in my life. The flavors were outstanding, the presentation made me feel like a... Apparently not the same since the menu didn't have the same choices. I guess the Bar & Grill added in the name changes the options. Our server was mediocre compared to Roys in Waikiki. Loved Roy's in Waikiki not the Roy's in Poipu. Not the same in so many ways. I can't recommend it...sorry.

Everything was great except the fish they recommended. The service was good, the appetizers and the stake were really good but the fish not so much.
