It's so funny that another reviewer had the completely opposite experience! I thought the food here was outstanding while the ambiance was a little lacking. Offering a diverse menu with a bit of a higher price point, I found the experience to be thoroughly enjoyable. We were served an amuse bouche of beet and hibiscus puree, which half of the... More

Red Salt offers a dining adventure. You pay top dollar and you get top end service, food, environment. This is definitely a "Special Occasion" restaurant for us. It has a typical island menu, but it is presented in a creative way. Servers are on top of their game, and they treat the diners with respect. Given the price of a... More

I really wanted to give this place a better rating, but the food was just okay with high prices. The entry to the hotel is very hip, but the restaurant is almost sitting with the concierge! Our waiter was very nice, but when I ask him if they had soft drinks he began listing off the virgin drinks they had... More

We were staying at the Marriott Waiohai next store, and Red Salt had good recommendations. We decided to try their buffet breakfast to see. Excellent setting, with many tables having a nice ocean view. I will say that Red Salt is not the least expensive place, but in most cases if the food and service warrants it, I'm fine with... More

Food was super. Wait staff professional. Breakfast was good too. The soufflé pancakes were awesome. The setting was beautiful.

You must try this restaurant! It is located at the Koa Kea Resort. I was starving when we first arrived from traveling, and I was craving chicken quesadillas. They were not on the menu, but the guy at the bar said the chef would be able to make them for me. They did, and it was great! We ended up... More

We dined at Red Salt on our last night on Kauai and had the best experience ! From the greeting at the door where they somehow knew us by name to the chefs special dessert to celebrate our boys high school graduation celebration it was a very memorable night. The food was spectacular and they make great martinis. A little... More

Dined here 3 years ago - good memories. This time not so much. The restaurant is directly attached to a very lively and loud bar and has rather poor lighting - to the point you can't read the menu. Excellent service by Rebecca!!! Appetizers reminiscent of Nouvelle cuisine - small and very pricy. The Kalua pork reminded of a tasteless... More

On our seventh night on this island we tried red salt and were very surprised. The wait staff was super. Since we have to eat gluten free food the waiter and chef made us feel comfortable they knew what to serve and what not to. Even offering options not on the menu to satisfy our diet. Bryan our waiter was... More

Went for our anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint. They treated us very specially from the greeting at the door to the wait staff and manager. The seafood was fresh and so well presented. Dessert was special. Nothing to change to make it better!
