Restaurant was expensive (but all restaurants on Kauai are), but worth it. Throughout the week, we had Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant. Special thanks to Jamie and Chris B, who offered exceptional service.

Nice atmosphere, decent food, but way too expensive for what you get. Not a place I'd recommend unless you just want to spend lots of money

this restaurant is either a hit or a miss! the service is great ( which you would expect after paying a lot for a meal, but unfortunately some of the dishes are tasteless and not worth the money. The restaurant is in a very small space and as such it is very noisy. not a great place to bring the... More

We had a wonderful dinner last night at Red Salt. The food was delicious - my rack of lamb was exceptionally good but truly, everything was wonderful. That being said dining out for me is more than just great food - also service and ambiance. Here again Red Salt excelled. Our server, Nancy, was a gem - attentive in a... More

We are local residents on Kauai and decided to dine here to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had 7:30 pm dinner reservation. The restaurant is located at the Koa Kea Hotel in Poipu and is hard to find at night. It's a small hotel located right next to the larger Marriott Waiohai Hotel. We arrived on time and was promptly... More

Very expensive. The usual $40 entrees but I had the $50 foie gras hamburger but it wasn't worth it. Nothing special. I did have an excellent time though due to the atmosphere, just modern nice, the excellent server and the excellent cocktails. There is no real view outside.

Very creative and excellent sushi by young sushi chef, but we also had two appetizers from the restaurant menu, which were good, but nothing more. Overpriced.

We went to breakfast one morning. Service was great as well as seating. However, it was a bit pricey.

Had very nice dinner at red salt. The setting basically is in the lobby of the Kea Koa hotel. My wife liked that but I don't as much. Also, the decor is minimalist modern but almost a throwback to the 50s. I had swordfish (substituted for mahi mahi) and it excellent. My wife had the Paella - she raved about... More

My wife and I each had vegetarian salads, soups and entrees. Sounded better in the description. Nothing special taste-wise. Nice presentation.
