So, as others have stated, this place can be a bit hard to find. It is in an industrial park where parking is at a premium (we had to park across the street in a field strewn with broken glass). It is very small inside - just a counter to order and a refrigerator with drinks. Not a lot of... More

Known for the local style plate lunches we ordered some loco-moco plates as well as their beef stew/teriaki chicken plates and some chicken katsu. Not impressed.Average taste-nothing special. overpriced for sure but most things are overpriced on Kauai. Located in an industrial area all by itself.A few picnic benches outside to eat in. We also tried the mango bread-which again... More

One of the locals recommended Mark's place, and we are glad that he did! We grabbed food from here as a togo onto our flight out. The korean chicken and teriyaki meats were good. The curry was good as well, but reminded us more of a stew. The katsu chicken was also good, but you want to eat that when... More

Ordered several different meals. All were good. Whatever the wife ordered, she said it was the best she'd ever had. Four stars and not five is because although everything was delicious, we had a couple pieces of teriyaki chicken that were overly charred. More dry than tender. Everyone there was working hard. It was hot in there but the cashiers... More

Excellent take out food. The best to get is the combination choice because you get two meals for the price of one. Choices include loco moco, chicken katsu, Korean chicken, and other choices. The prices are reasonable.

Unless you have a smart phone you aren't going to find this. It's in Puhi, 2 miles from Lihue. The restaurant caters to local people who had called in their orders, came in, talked story in pidgin, and left with much aloha. The place is in this industrial park with ZERO ambiance. I just knew this place would be numbah... More

This is great Hawaiian food. For under $10 you get heaping portions. I love that they have brown rice available. The teriyaki beef and chicken were my favorites. Expect some unchewable gristle on your beef at this price. I purposely went after the lunch rush in order to be able to peruse the menu and not irritate locals. My husband... More

I have been looking for a great lunch location on a budget and found Mark's Place. Though not easy to find, it is a bargain with great plate lunch variety with more than enough to eat for $10 or less. Deserts are extra, but again worth the price. Mark's is in an industrial park near the Community College on the... More

Lots of delicious choices. Chicken cutlet was crisp and yummy! Mini plate was still filling and satisfying. A hidden gem in the industrial area! Don't miss this stop!
