Tip Top came highly recommended from some friends that frequent Kauai. It is located in an office style building and has a very cafeteria type feel. The ambience is a little odd, you can tell its a local favorite, a bit off the beaten path. The servers all wear scrubs and push utility carts around for everything. As far as... More

We heard this was the place locals go for breakfast so we thought we'd give it a try. The food was okay but after reading some of the earlier reviews, we thought we'd be more impressed. We both had an omelette and they were rather bland despite onions, peppers, sausage, etc. The homefries were a square block of fried potatoes... More

Tip top was so good we went twice in one day. Breakfast you have to try Moco Loco. Didn't sound too good, but it was delicious. Went back for dinner. Had to wait a bit, and yes we stood out because we weren't locals. Sushi was the best and definitely the freshest we have had. Can't say enough about Tip... More

No fancy, but excellent food. Prices are great and a good value. I am not a lover of pancakes, but the Macadamia Nut pancakes were the best pancakes I have ever had and i loved them! Served with coconut syrup and/or fresh fruit. They were wonderful. Fast service, excellent food, good prices--couldn't ask for anything else! If you are looking... More

Had breakfast at Tip Top on my last weekend trip to Kauai. While I really enjoyed my breakfast, my girlfriend wasn't impressed. Nevertheless, this one is _my_ review, so 4 out of 5 it is. I had the (relatively) famous loco moco, which didn't disappoint. For the uninitiated, a loco moco is a bowl of white rice, with a hamburger... More

Food was cheap, and good! We had the mac nut pancakes and they were delicious. This place was recommended to us by our valet. The place lacks in decor, and is more like a cafeteria, but all the locals eat here. Service was fast.

We had breakfast a couple of times at this restaurant, it satisfy my craving for sumptuous breakfast , oxtail soup was great, tender and generous in serving, their version of banana pineapple pancake with macadamia and jam was perfect. We Will definitely be back.

This place was recommended by a local in Lihue and I'm glad Iwe listened. The loco moco here was one of the best I've ever had. My wife had the oxtail soup which was also delicious. Prices were very reasonable and the service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere isn't anything special, but the food will make up for it.

We found ourselves by the airport and hungry, so Siri found us breakfast at Tip Top. Don't let the ambience fool you. This is a real good down to earth breakfast and lunch grub house. The place was consistently busy and filled with locals. Loco moco? Perfect! Banana pancakes with coconut sauce? Yum! Just sad we didn't find it sooner.... More
