We were spending 3 nights in Kaui and had dropped our laundry at the Plaza Laundry (3-4301 Kuhio Hwy.) for wash and fold service. We asked the attendant where the locals liked to have breakfast and she recommended the Tip Top Cafe. It's located on a side street and is on the first floor in back of a 75 year... More

Pancakes nothing special. Coffee was good though. Not a place I would go back to. Just an average place.

I have gone here since I was a little girl. It is old school and traditional. Lots of locals, the food is good. We always go for breakfast I order traditional rice eggs and Portuguese sausage.

the food is edible and not bad. It is just way to expensive for what you get. I think I would skip this place for breakfast. Save your money and go through a drive thru somewhere. For 2 pancakes and two eggs it was $10 bucks.

Went here on recommendations from Trip Advisor. A very casual diner in a motel building. My husband said it was his best breakfast on the island. Good banana macadamia nut pancakes. They are big, as big as the plate! Good value.

We went twice on a recent two week trip to the island. Pick your pancake toppings: Mac nuts, banana, pineapple and do pour plenty of coconut syrup on top. Loco Moco has lots of tasty gravy. Ask for fried rice. You'll be back.

The cafe is set up with all booths - it has a low-key diner feel - not fancy - there appeared to be a good mix of locals and visitors - breakfast was awesome!! We had the banana/macadamia pancakes, loco moco, breakfast platter - all of it was YUMMY!!! I highly recommend this place!!!

You'll drive up and wonder if this is the right place. It is. Leave. Most of the reviews mention the breakfast. We weren't there in time for breakfast. Perhaps your breakfast experience would be different from the rest of the menu. Several of us had a burger. The lady waiting on us couldn't identify the meat. True story. She verified... More

Good local kin food. See heard a lot about the ox tail soup and it was pretty good. Not fancy, but large portions.
