Simple Great Food

The stafff is friendly and helpful at this quaint tiny shack with some of the best food Kauai has to offer. Seriously our morning breakfast and lunch favorite 'go to' place! We ate a lot of places but this was our favorite on the island for lunch!

We only ate breakfast at this location. The Loco Moco was excellent. The Sweet Bread French Toast was average but good. Prices are very reasonable. It's a neat place with lots of personality.

The KBH is not fancy, but it does provide great service, fair prices and outstanding food. Try the Loco Moco.

Ever since we found out the crew and cast from the film Jurassic Park had lunch here frequently we have been frequenting the “Hut.” It is not gourmet food in an appealing setting but it is decent food with very reasonable prices. You go there for a quick meal. You can either eat there or take the food back to... More

When staying at the Marriott, this is a much less expensive breakfast option, although still not cheap. The food is pretty good. My husband loves a loco moco, but he said that JJ Broiler's version was better. My kids liked the pancakes and the French toast made from Portuguese sweet bread was great. Only wish they had coconut syrup.

Ate a dinner and a breakfast here as it was very near our time share trade (Banyan Harbors). If you go upstairs to eat you can sit looking at Palm trees and the beach. Food is very reasonable and a good value for the island.

My wife and I had the moco loco it was good. This is basically a takeout place with a couple of chairs and picnic benches. Sit inside if you can the ants will attack you they like the local mocos too haha Sometimes I think the people on Tripadvisor give high ratings because the food is not overpriced but for... More

The place was a dump, the food marginal - and greasy. The breakfast sandwich was served on a hamburger bun. The eating spots were all a little grimy. we ate here once, just once. To be fair, there were a number of returning diners there when we were, so maybe it's just us missing something. Recommend the Feral Pig instead... More

we went for the shaved ice and went back for the burger! The taro fries are not to be missed! It is so good, we are heading back tomorrow for another shaved ice! For this being a little hut, it's some of the best food we've had all week. Very reasonably priced!

A bit tough to find. Order, pickup your food, find a table. Food was very good, though limited menu. Would like a whole-grain option. Watch you don't catch a toe on the steps on the way down - need some repair.
