My wife and I were impressed with the service and the quality of the food. The minestrone soup was full of excellent crisp vegetables, and my wife's seafood pasta was excellent, as was my veal. The portions are very large, and if we went there again, we would have the soup, and split a main course. But an excellent choice... More

We enjoyed cocktails, appetizers and dinner, served by Diane, our sweet-spirited table attendant. She knew the menu, she knew the specials (fantastic!), she was attentive to all aspects of our group of 20 people. She had help with us, but I did not get their names (if you're reading this, you know who you are! Thank you!) All of the... More

Just as most are saying in their reviews, the food is not the greatest. However, the wait staff was very nice and eager to please. The location with the waves washing up against the shore while you enjoy your time there is almost priceless. However, being aware of the fact that visiting the island is expensive, the food there is... More

For a novice listener, the harpist may sound amazing but for a classical lover as I am, it sounds awful and out of tune. It's like a little kid learning how to play the harp. The food is really expensive but the food is less than average. I ordered some kind of veal and the meat doesn't taste fresh at... More

We have eaten many meals at Duke's next door and decided to try Portofino for a change. Love the convenient location to the Marriott where we were staying. We arrived close to 5:00 pm and were able to get a table next to the railing with the great view of the beach and bay. Great for people and sunset watching.... More

I haven't written a review on this service before but the wait staff suggested we rate the restaurant so here goes....Anyone that comes here is probably a guest of the Kauai Marriott, just like me and my family. The service was very poor: had to ask for bread three times before it was delivered, waiting for drinks 15 minutes and... More

Probably the best Italian food I've had in a long time. I had the Osso Bocco and it was perfectly done. Pasta and salad were incredible and a great drink menu.

Taste and presentation great. Chicken picata was delicious but very small portion. Took the offer of pasta rather than potatoes and veggies. When Bill came, very surprised that there was a charge for the pasta. Was not informed of an upcharge. Gelato was another disappointment. Very small three scoops for $10, and pistachio was sugary and not creamy.

We were looking for the place to say goodbye to our trip tou. Kauai and came across this restaurant. The choice couldn't be better. Starting from the moment we were seated and ending with a lively talk with the owner, everything was perfect - delicious meals, great service with a kind and friendly personal attention, smiles from every waitress who... I visited here while staying at The Marriott Kauai with my children and my brothers family. We were a table of 11. The food was Classic Italian and each person thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The meal selection was extensive and suited everyone's varying tastes. A special mention of the Panna cotta which was sublime. Diane our waitress was outstanding and... More
