Good Italian food

The food was nothing to write home about. It was good but not anything special. Expensive but everything in Hawaii is expensive.

We had and excellent dinner of filet and veal. It was not steak Diane but was served by a delightful waitress Diane. We enjoyed so much we came back for dinner again tonight to try the pastas. Excellent cannelloni and lasagna. Service friendly and efficient. We have a plane to catch so relaxed but in a hurry. Good place by... More

After getting seated by the rude, and could can care less you are there host, the evening was pretty much a couple of hours worth forgetting. Started with over priced bowl of sand filled clams, replaced by cold pasta. Oh, I shouldn't forget the floor show starring two wait staff having an open argument on the dining room floor. And... It was a beautiful setting for our wedding anniversary dinner. The food was great, the service was good and it was sensibly priced :)

Me and my best friend had a really nice dinner when we first arrived to the island we enjoyed it so much that we returned for our last dinner before returning back to mainland. The owner is wonderful and so was our server. I am definitely coming back and bringing my husband

The restaurant has gorgeous views of the sunset. You can have a drink nibble on food and appreciate life. There is a kids menu and they devoured their food of noodles with cheese and spaghetti and marinara sauce. I liked the minister one soup but I am adverse to squash so I removed it but the flavor was good. The... More

The food at Portofino was a big disapointment. I had the Chicken Marsala. The chicken was not tender, the sauce was more of a brown gravy with very little marsala flavor and very few mushrooms. Price was premium, food was not. Others in my party were also not impressed with their entrees. Service was just so so, nothing special.

We ate here our last night in Kaua'i . A great way to say Mahalo to the island. The waitress accepted our request to split the fresh fish of the day. We chose the Monchong , an fresh fish gaining popularity in Hawaii. It was a good chose and left us room to split an order of profiteroles for dessert.... More

Portofino has always been a favorite restaurant when visiting beautiful Kauai. Reservations are easy to make using open table and I would recommend as they can really fill up for dinner. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated promptly. Our waitress showed up right away and took our drink orders, and presented menus. I chose the cheese ravioli, my... More
