Good Value Breakfast

Pancakes until 11 am. Bottomless coffee. Many locals started coming in for lunch, and dishes I saw looked good.

We tried Dani's because of the TA recommendations. We were there for breakfast but decided to order some atypical breakfast offerings like Lau Lau and Kaluha pig with poi. The portions were so tiny that we ended up ordering a third item-- the beef stew. While tasty, that too was small for the price. We ended spending close to $40... More

It appears that this is the place the locals go for breakfast...pancakes where comparable to IHOP which I like alot...wife loved the french toast...hashbrowns were just below average but bacon and eggs where good....all at non resort prices - two for $20

We stopped here for lunch one day after riding the train at the plantation. The portions aren't overly big, but are big enough to fill up the average person. The food was great-- best Kalua pork plate lunch we had on the island. My preschooler liked his noodles. Service was fine if unenthusiastic. They charged us 10 cents for a... More

You will never find this restaurant listed in any tourist magazines on Kauai, but this is where the locals dine. You can enjoy entrees never found in a chain or American restaurant. All breakfast entrees come with coveted complimentary Kona coffee. The prices are below current prices at any Kauai resort or hotel. You will also meet locals dressed casually... More

Enjoyed a good breakfast with banana pancakes. Friendly service. Not much to it. The hawaiian breakfast options are kind of cool.

On Tuesday morning we were up early just arriving from CA the night before. We were having trouble finding anything open early. We asked some outside workers at a local shopping center. They told us about Dani's. Good food and reasonably priced. Also reasonable portions.

We were trying to find a restaurant open for breakfast the day after fourth of July and were very pleased to come across Dani's. It is a local place serving many local dishes such as tripe but they also have a regular breakfast menu. The service could have been a little better but the food was fabulous and very affordable.

We ate breakfast here for about $17 for the two of us. Very affordable - lots of locals. Have the pancakes or waffles... the food is ok - but it's an affordable place to have breakfast and see how the locals live.

Both my wife and I tip the scales at 240 (each), so we know how to eat, however we didn't find the portions "too small". If you are looking for a high-end restaurant, stay at the Marriott and don't go where the locals go--AND, SPEND BIG BUCKS! Save your money for a nice dinner at Dukes.
