I had spam, hash, eggs and home fries. My wife's pancakes were not great but overall this was a nice, cheap breakfast spot. $20 after tip, all in. Only 5 minutes from Marriott Kauai.
The boisterous crowd and Dani's slow paced service felt like a Sunday brunch. We were there actually on Monday morning! Tourists in a hurry would describe this restaurant in a less flattering way. By the time we finished breakfast, it was literally time for lunch. The menu and the decor are simple (i.e. no frills, not fancy, cafeteria-like). Pancakes come... More
Our first morning in Kauai always starts with breakfast at Dani's. It is a no nonsense restaurant, with tables along the 3 walls and in the middle area. Locals and tourist will sit elbow to elbow for breakfast or lunch. They always have 3 or 4 breakfast specials and coffee is included in the price. The waitresses are very friendly... More
Somewhat inexpensive place to eat. Great for breakfast. Not fancy by any stretch of the imaginaation.
While we have been coming here for years, I have never written a review until now. Dani's is a great local place in Lihu'e for breakfast or lunch ONLY. Its loud, its community seating and driving into and out of the parking lot can at times be like playing Russian roulette!! That said, leave your pretense in your hotel room,... More
When you just want some eggs and to sit and drink some coffee this is your place. A humble place filled with locals, it's got no ambiance but who cares? I had the blueberry hot cakes and they were great! Made with real blueberries.
We went there for breakfast with intentions to come back for lunch as it was advertised everywhere. We ordered Kalua pig plate which came with popu and salmon salsa. It was small appetizer plate with pretty much 1 big spoon of pulled pork, which was salty. On the same plate was small plastic container with salsa which had smallest pieces... More
We discovered Dani's after eating high priced meals at our resort hotel. It's a popular modest eatery favoured by locals and tourists. Their prices are half or less than the restaurants around the resorts and the food is better.
We ate breakfast here. It certainly seemed popular with many of the locals, but our meals were average. Nothing really wrong with it, but certainly not a place we would recommend or visit a second time.
The breakfast we had at Dani's tasted good. The ham in particular was excellent. The ambiance however was that of a loud school cafeteria. Sound echoed across the tables lined up just like - a school cafeteria. The food would be worth the trip, but if you have something to talk about, you may want to save it for before... More
