Not the amazing local place many claim it to be. Prices are cheaper than most places, but the portions are also smaller. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that are only slightly more expensive but much more worth it.

You know you have struck gold when you enter a restaurant on a Monday morning and there is a waiting line to get a table and you are the only non locals in line. Dani's sits just off Rice Street in what looks like a small industrial set of buildings. We have passed it by for years when visiting and... More

We stopped here based on a locals recommendation. It was okay and the food was decent but I wasn't impressed. I am pretty open to places to eat and not highly critical but I would pass by and try somewhere else. The food was just like any other food you can get at you local diner anywhere in the US.

My wife & I stopped for breakfast on Saturday 17 May en route to the airport. We are always looking for local eateries on Kauai and did some scouting along Rice street before heading to the airport. We arrived a bit before 10:30 which was lucky for us as Dani’s closes at 11:00 on Saturdays. My wife ordered the waffle... More

Ok, local breakfast!!! Where else can you get rice, egg, sausage, loco moko? Every where but.... You can also get Lau Lau, Kalua pig, lomi salmon and my favorite tripe stew for breakfast. Yum yum

Nothing fancy, just good food. Good loco mock, just enough but not a huge, huge portion. Good service. Definitely not a place for ambience, just good breakfast.

The service is nothing special, pretty much "Don't ask my questions. Just order your food please" mentality. So it wasn't the friendliest place, but the food was decent and affordable. I had the Dani's Special omelette which was a bit bland but on the healthier side. My boyfriend ordered the kalua pork which was very good. The hashbrowns were tasty... More

I had spam, hash, eggs and home fries. My wife's pancakes were not great but overall this was a nice, cheap breakfast spot. $20 after tip, all in. Only 5 minutes from Marriott Kauai.

The boisterous crowd and Dani's slow paced service felt like a Sunday brunch. We were there actually on Monday morning! Tourists in a hurry would describe this restaurant in a less flattering way. By the time we finished breakfast, it was literally time for lunch. The menu and the decor are simple (i.e. no frills, not fancy, cafeteria-like). Pancakes come... More

Our first morning in Kauai always starts with breakfast at Dani's. It is a no nonsense restaurant, with tables along the 3 walls and in the middle area. Locals and tourist will sit elbow to elbow for breakfast or lunch. They always have 3 or 4 breakfast specials and coffee is included in the price. The waitresses are very friendly... More
