This is the place the locals go to. We had breakfast here and found it pretty good. It seemed like we were in senior citizens center considering the customers. It also seemed like most of the people knew each other. The food was good and basic. the service was good considering we were not locals..

We stopped in for lunch and found this cute little unassuming restaurant filled with local families. Of course, that is the sign of a good spot! We ordered the LocoMoco and it was delish! Great service, and a menu full of local fare, very reasonable prices as well. Get there early for lunch as they are only open until 1PM.

Went for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. We love eating at local places but felt the service was bad because we weren't local. That was too bad. Food was very average. Had the papaya pancakes but no coconut syrup. 2 of us ate for $13.

This is another popular locals place. I read about one of their recommended dishes in another magazine review and decided to try it. It's called the half and half. Half Tripe stew, half beef stew. Not to heavy it came with two scoops of white rice. It was pretty good although I prefer my tripe a little more cleaner tasting.

Enjoyed breakfast here. Limited hours, so make sure you get there in time before they close. Portions are average. Serve breakfast and lunch. Easy to find. Would return again!

We though this to be a better alternative to Tip Top. It is very plain inside, but the food is good. You will experience the servers whizzing around with their carts, busing and serving. Off course, rise is an option to potatoes. Also you will find spam on the menu. Don’t be afraid to try either. The service was great... More

Mother and I took a chance and ate here. It was about 1:00pm and I believe place closes at 2:00pm. Wanted to eat "local" food . Mother's hairdresser suggested Dani's. When I'm visiting Kauai it's always a problem because I'm every selective and OCD. I wanted to try places where I don't usually eat. I remember away back when Dani's... More

very local place. Busy this morning. We had eggs, I had bacon, my husband had ham. Food was good. Rice was tasty. Did think the coffee was weak. $$ was good. First time for us after many trips to Kauai. Glad we came. 😀

Nothing fancy here except the delicious home cooked food. There are always two breakfast specials as well as a regular menu. Coffee is served by the pot here. Open till 1 Mon-Sat and closed on Sunday. Try the Kalua pork wit two eggs and two scoops of rice.

Busy busy busy. This local hot spot has great eats. The food is good, the coffee is great and it is a local haven. Prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is simple and low key. Great spot to eat breakfast everyday. Hours are 5am - 11am Mon - Fri and Sat 5am -1pm. Have some pineapple pancakes. You won't regret... More
