I've been to luaus where the food was worst than that at a Southern Baptist church supper. But the food here was good and diverse. Great mahi, pork, chicken and vegeatarian dishes. Desserts were very ordinary however - your basic cheap buffet selection. The entertainment was very good. Great professional performers and a respectful story about the Polynesian migration that... more

This was my second luau in hawaii. I'd been to one other in Oahu. Kalamaku was a much better experience. Drinks were included with admission so we could visit the bar as often as we liked, even during the show. The food was incredible- definitely better quality than the one in Oahu. There was such a great variety too. What... more

Bland food, watered down drinks, employees who at best were indifferent (appearing to have abandoned any pretense of displaying any "aloha spirit") and too often were unpleasant and rude, all combine to make this experience more that of a bad all-you-can-eat buffet rather than an Hawaiian luau. The entertainment was good, but nothing special, certainly not good enough to overcome... more

Very lovely. Not cheesey at all. All performers are quite talented. Very organized set-up. Enjoyed it thoroughly and would recommend to others. Food delicious. Only one disappointment: With the heft price tag and the promise of the Open Bar, we arrived to get quite the hustle towards shops and vendors and lots of gentle, sweet discouragement from staffers from approaching... more

We had a really hard time deciding between this and the Smith luau- I am so gald we came here!! We ordered our tickets online- and requested a good view- as we have small children. It is assigned seating- and they gave us an awesome table. We had also purchased the train ride- well worth it, very informative. Food was... more

The luau was beautiful. The weather was wonderful, the scenery was amazing but the story line was mesmerizing. The average tourist received the Hawaiian experience while being educated through entertainment. It gave me a whole new respect for the cultural richness of the residents. The vibe radiating through the room was one of respect and pride. I was hooked. I... more

I attended this show in March and it was one of the highlights of my cruise to Hawaii. Being very involved in theatre at home, the production value they provided was really, really high and I had a wonderful time in general. Not only is the show entertaining, they tell the Hawaiian creation story very well and appealingly. The fire-work... more

This Luau is the one to go to. Very different from others, far more interesting. The pageantry portrayed the history of the people of Hawai'i in a very impressionistic, dramatic fashion. There's no "embarass the tourist" crap going on here or forced interactions. Amazing firedance (we've seen others, this one is far above). Fully stocked open bar, not limited to... more
