It's not easy to find and parking is often difficult, but it's worth the search. The Wonton Saimin and the Special Saimin are amazing. The portions are generous and price is low. Don't miss the lillikoi pie for dessert either. Also, they have skewers of beef and chicken which are delicious. You can get one or as many as you... More

This saved us! We arrived at the Kauai Palms Hotel after 11:00 p.m. We were hungry and thought we would be out of luck. Come to find out that this place is around the corner from the hotel and it was open until midnight!. Simple, vary casual counter-type seating. We ordered the Special Saimin. My husband ate all of his... More

I totally agree with all the other reviewers. The place is casual, and the food is really good. The best is the extra large Special Saimin. It will fill you up. And yes, do leave room for the pie. We went on the Saturday and it was way too busy. But we went back on a Monday and it was... More

Very casual counter seating for a quick noodle lunch. Normal size portions except for the generous extra large house special for the really hungry! Just make sure you leave room for their chiffon pie which was very light and tasty. Parking is very limited. For us, it was an experience but not so enthused to repeat.

My wife and I had lunch at Hamura Saimin Stand on 15 December. This was our second attempt to eat at this highly rated Saimin establishment – last May we were turned away by the long wait for a place at the undulating counter. My wife ordered the Won Ton Saimin and I had the extra-large Saimin. My wife liked... More

My sister and I did half the Kalalau trail that day and were extremely tired and hungry afterwards. There was nothing like a big bowl of special saimin to cap off the day. We were so deficient in electrolytes, the soup made up for it!!!! We had an extra bowl which I ate the next morning... And the lilikoi chiffon... More

Do you love hole in the wall local joints with shared tables low prices and yummy food? We do! This is the kind of spot NYers line up for. Get the special saimin (a spectacular soup with broth to die for, tender noodles, pork, cabbage, wontons & yes, slivers of spam), the crispy shrimp tempura, the juicy bbq chicken on... More

This little out of the way restaurant is worth the search to find! The locals eat here on stools pulled up to little counters. They know the good places to eat. This place is a little gem! The food is delicious and cheap for Hawii. We will be going back there at least another time to eat. The noodle bowls... More

Small (crowded) out of the way place where the local folks go. Serving fresh & hot (temperature) saimin at a reasonable price.
