My husband and I went into La Bamba's for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon... (I must add, we are in our mid 20s and are not at all particular about food) and we were very, very disappointed. Four of us went there for dinner. Restaurant is located in the shopping mall in LIhue. Easy location to get to. Plenty of parking. Relatively small place with ~20 well spaced tables. Very casual. Had a Jones for Mexican food and am so delighted to have found LaBomba at the southeast end of the mall at Kukui Grove Shopping Center. Fresh and savory ingredients delight the tastebuds. Got take out because they close at 9 (it was 8:45) and they said it was too late to sit at a table. They are hidden behind the Sears in the shopping center so you need to do some digging to find them. Great food even for take out. Got the Chimmichanga with refried beans and rice.
