Nice view, friendly staff, Even free valet Parking!! Nice Touch!

I specifically enjoyed having valet parking since there isn't many places to park on the street. The atmosphere is nice, right off the beach so you can sit, drink a Mai Tai and enjoy watching the Stand up paddlers and surfers. There were some ants around the ground by our table but I noticed... read more

Duke's at the Marriott in Lihue, Kauai is an absolute wonderful experience. Location, Location, Location. This restaurant is on the beach with indoor and outdoor seating on multi-levels. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.

We got in from a long travel day and just wanted a quick bite and a drink. We went there because we were staying in the hotel. The prices were very high, even by Kauai standards, and the drinks were very skimpy. The food was okay. The fish tacos were fresh, but dry. The coconut shrimp was good. I would... More

We at downstairs several times....the casual part, not upstairs, which is more upscale and more expensive. We were happy with the casual, on the beach, great view location. The kids could play on the grass or beach while we waited for the food during lunch time or early dinner, and the prices weren't any worse than anywhere else, but the... More

We actually ate here twice during our stay, once at the "barefoot bar" (read: more casual) downstairs level, and once at the fancier restaurant upstairs, which has a more extensive version of the same menu. We got a table immediately both times, but it's probably not a bad idea to make a reservation if you're there in high season, since... More

We had dinner at the Dukes Canoe Club in Lihue Kauai. We had been to the Dukes on Waikiki and loved it. The food here was good too and the Hula Pie is always a treat. But the salad bar was smaller, and the menu not as broad. The views are good, but the atmosphere in Waikiki is better. I... More

Great ambiance right on the water often with live entertainment. Very relaxed and totally in tune with the "hang loose" attitude of Kauai. The beach is steps away where the swimming is safe for all ages and abilities. Depending upon the wind you can get some surfing in at this location as well.

We had lunch here on the lower level & this place is a must do. It is right on the beach with a lovely atmosphere. Even if you sit inside there is a beautiful pond full of big fish & a small waterfall that you sit next to. I had the cheddar burger with waffle fries, my husband had the... More

My wife and I had dinner at the lower level of Duke's and enjoyed it very much. The lower part of the restaurant is more of a cantina style dining area that the more formal restaurant on the top floor. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. The food was good and came in very large servings. The lower level... More

We chose Duke's as it was located next to our hotel. Our reserved table was ready within 5min of arrival, we had a great table by the ocean, the decor was fun and food was very good. Fresh fish selections and amazing hula pie. The service was attentive, good for groups, families or can be romantic with the right table.
