Nice atmosphere

The restaurant is really cool with masonry, woodwork and a large koy pond and plenty of greenery. We had fish tacos and pork tacos which were both good. It was taco tuesday and we waited about a half hour for a table but easily killed the time walking on kalapaki beach within range of the pagers... read more

Went on a Tuesday not realizing it was 'taco Tuesday' so we didn't get to sit in the casual barefoot bar (lower level). Ate in the upper dining area. Our server was good - personable and had knowledge of the menu. It is a higher priced restaurant with the main dishes being served with a salad bar. Most dishes are... More

Food is great here, more of a pub-ish style to the food. Tried almost everything on the menu. Went to Duke's in Maui & Kauai three times each. Kauai location is right by water, great atmosphere with the tiki torches, live entertainment and good local beer selections.

We ate our anniversary dinner there and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the service and the meal. My husband had the special which was a variety plate of fish and lobster tail. I had the Opa, Duke's style and it was excellent. They have a great salad bar to go with the meal for $3.00. It is around $17.00 ordered... More

The restaurant was absolutely beautiful, from the Koi Pond along the staircase (jealous of those who had the table next to it on the staircase landing) to the ocean views on the second story. The food was terrific and you'll be looking at your typical $35ish per plate plus another $10ish for a quality alcoholic drink not including tips. The... More

We stayed at the Marriott and had dinner one night at Dukes. They seated us on the main floor with a great view of the beach. We really enjoyed our meal and the wonderful performers they had that evening. Would definitely eat here again.

We first came to enjoy Duke's at their Maui location and always made it a frequent stop. The Kaua'i location does not have the same charm and vibe but is still a nice place to visit. Tables along the outer edge are great for people and whale watching! Hopefully not the same thing. We do love Duke's mai tai blend... More

In the past few years we have been here several times. For the most part the wait staff is good. Kind and considerate, not always trained the best. The food has always been exceptional, and the salad bar is unique. Try it all, you are on vacation. The prices are better than many places on the Island, and you cant... More

We had reservations for 5:15. We arrived ten minutes early. We were asked to wait for the server to arrive for their shift. No problem, my husband had been in food service for a few decades, so I understood. However, when three groups who arrived after us with reservations at the same time were seated before us, I was less... More

Considering this is a Marriott restaurant, you know the service and food will be better than average. The price was higher than off resort, but the meal was good and the portions very large. I wouldn't eat here every night, but it was a nice treat during our vacation.
