The french fries were literally dripping with oil. We would have sent the plate back, but couldn't ever get the attention of our server, who was busy talking with other employees. The nachos were a heaping pile of goo---seriously, the chips were limp and soggy and just kind of melded into a lump with the meat-cheese-sauce heaped on top. The... More

Duke's Canoe Club Lihue has a great reputation for it's stellar view and terrific menu. You can't go wrong eating here (upstairs has a salad bar and a more extensive menu) and is a great place to bring visitors to the island for an island style restaurant with an amazing view. You can walk off Duke's amazing Aloha Pie by... More

On a recent trip we visited Duke's twice. The view was awesome. Enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the surfers. The food was decent, drinks very good.

The food is good and the setting awesome. Early evening music in the bar area is great. Good menu selections.

YUM!! I loved Duke's. We ate upstairs for dinner. Service was top notch and the food....Oh, the food. We had the Lobster Guacamole. What ?? Yes... you heard me. I had to order it just to see what was. It was a delicious layered "Pupu" some breadfruit, then the Guac then some lobster all in a gorgeous stack served with... More

Best spot on Waikiki for drinks or dinner. We visited several Duke's establishments during our visit. Excellent service, food, and atmosphere consistently at each place. Try the Crab and Mac Nut Wontons if you are a Crab Rangoon fan-they are fabulous! Save room for Aloha pie. It's Hawaii's version of Mud Pie...it rocks!

We ate in both places downstairs first. Enjoyed the ribs and a drink for dinner our first night. They had a small band playing. It's a beautiful setting, I would go again. Our last night we decided to have dinner upstairs. This is a nice restaurant. It has a salad bar which is quite good. Everyone like the food they... More

We ate at Duke's Barefoot Bar 1 month ago while staying at Marriott and loved it. I really enjoyed 17$ salad bar. I am a vegetarian so it is not always easy to find the right food options but this salad bar was great. My daughter had chicken and liked it too. The best think was the setting- the view... More

We went here out of convenience because it was attached to our hotel, and ate in the dining room. We ordered the fried calamari, the Duke's Style (it was Mahi that night), and the Seared Ahi. We also ordered a round of drinks (a patron margarita, and one of their specialty cocktails). Of the food, only the calamari were really... More

Eat in the Barefoot Bar for the best fish tacos on Kauai. They make their tacos with one large piece of seared ahi rather than chopped up pieces that get dry and overcooked. You won't be disappointed.
