On the sand at Kalapaki Beach, Duke’s is dedicated to legendary surfer Duke Kahanamoku, Hawaii’s Ambassador of Aloha. The restaurant’s open-air design offers stunning, sweeping ocean views while the 30 foot waterfall plunges into a koi pond below that meanders through the tables. Enjoy a leisurely lunch, romantic dinner, or tropical cocktail in a fun, friendly atmosphere.

Nice place

Nice ambiance. Server was nice but average. The mushroom appetizer was excellent. We didn't have it but the ice cream dessert was HUGE! Overall enjoyable experience.

Located adjacent to the Marriot in Lihue, Duke's offers a wide menu, excellent food, and an attractive setting. Huge bar area downstairs with lite food and main dining room upstairs. Both have a lovely outdoors/pacific rim feel.

My husband and I have eaten at Duke's on Waikiki several times and we're excited to try this one. The view is so beautiful and relaxing, we sat by the rail in the lanai. Our server, Claudia, was friendly and attentive. I had the coconut shrimp entree and the salad bar and my husband had the swordfish and salad bar,... More

Strange to recommend the steak, but it was AMAZING! I got the Filet and it was sooo good. My husband loved the fish of the day. I also LOVED the salad bar. I wish you could get the salad bar while sitting downstairs. Also, the decor was beautiful.

Had a nice time at Dukes. Large salad bar available at minimal cost when accompanied with dinner entree. Ordered NewYork steak- medium, and was too dry. Other entrees ordered were ...okay, but standard fare and nothing outstanding. Dessert- Hula pie/Ice cream was great. Table service was minimal through out dinner.

This Duke's has a very limited menu for dinner. The "famous salad bar" was pathetic. Zero protein choices on salad bar except bacon chips. Our waiter was slow and unresponsive to requests. He would only address one table per "run." Would not stop if you tried to get his attention for missing items.

We've had dinner at Dukes at least 8 times throughout our trips to Kauai and we have never been disappointed. They have consistently great food, great service & an awesome atmosphere! This past trip we had around 30 people with us - we made reservations in smaller, separate groups on a Friday night - they were able to combine a... More

Get there for happy hour and enjoy the sunset at Anchor Cove. The restaurant's interior atmosphere is just what you would expect Hawaii to look like, with little lagoons and lush vegetation. It's a beautiful setting. Fine dining is upstairs and casual dining, with a beach view, is downstairs. There's free valet parking up the road in back of the... More

We went to Duke's twice. We made it for Happy Hour where we enjoyed Mai Tai's, Pina Coladas, and draft beers with yummy appetizers--calamari, shrimp, and flat break pizza. Our dinner evening started off with calamari and tropical drinks and ended with fish tacos. We should have also tried the Korean tacos. The highlight of the meal was the Hula... More

Love the happy hour from 4-6 and Taco Tuesday! Wonderful view of the ocean and casual ambience. The wait staff is very friendly and efficient.
