I loved the eats at the Oki Diner. I've been to HI 6 times total and Kauai is my favorite island. I am a repeat customer at Oki and would bring all my friends there if the airfare wasn't so expensive from New Jersey! more

We had four different plates. The mahi in garlic sauce was ok. Portion was generous and it wasn't terrible. The omelet was pretty tasteless and way overpriced. It had american cheese or velveeta inside, and came with two "toaster brown" hash browns. Yuck. The Hawaiian specialty plate had Kahlua beef (not bad), Lau Lau (pretty good) and Teriyaki beef (just... more

This restaurant is a TOTAL DINER experience with local style and "campy"decor. I loved the breakfast so much we stopped there 4 times to eat. I ordered The pancakes plain with just butter, regular syrup, fried eggs and bacon. I swear these were the best pancakes. My husband ordered pancakes, eggs and Portuguese sausage and fried rice, YUM, YUM:) Good place... more

After non-memorable snack on the way to airport, I was told the credit card reader was not operative and I needed to pay with cash. A small meal, salad and Saimin bowl, only $15. I was asked if I wanted change for my $20 bill, and, figuring 20% tip, indicated yes. That was the last sighting of waitress, who was... more

On a recent trip to Kauai we decided to be adventurous and try something new instead of our tried and true places. Although we read mixed reviews on various websites, we decided to give the Oki Diner a try. What a BIG mistake! The waitress said their speciality was the Slavonic Steak. Slavonic Steak is thinly slice strips of beef... more

We are proud Kauaiians, who were visiting our parents on Kauai. On Saturday night Feb 21, 2009 We went to Oki Diner for an early morning late night breakfast. During our meal a rodent ran around in the dining area, when brought to the waitresses attention we were told that she couldn't do anything about it, because she was too... more

Maybe the hostess/waitress was having a bad day, but I don't think so. I can get crabbiness at home without having to pay for it. First, the lady fussed because we didn't want to sit outside, then she 'told' me how I wanted my eggs prepared after I had ordered them scrambled (I got them over-easy). In the course of... more

My husband and I ate breakfast here in January 09. The first thing we noticed was that the staff didn't seem to like each other. The food was so expensive. We had coffee, one loco moco, and an order of macadamia pancakes with bacon on the side. The pancakes which were highly advertised as the best on the island were... more

We had visited Oki Diner on our last several visits to Kauai, and each time the consensus seems to be that this place is on it's way down, as reflected in the reviews. We normally visit for breakfast, so we can only comment on that meal, however based on experience that should be the easiest meal to prepare. In the... more

We ate at Oki's Diner on Sunday morning, Sept. 14, 2008. We had good service. The waitress was friendly and personable. Food was good. Our hostess mentioned that service is better inside portion of the restaurant and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Prices were reasonable and menu had very nice selection. We would go back... more
