Craving for sushi

We came, we ate, we conquered and don't need to do it again. Limited menu but what we had was good, sat at the counter and the chef only could make what was on the menu.

The sushi here is indeed very good. We sat at a table and got a waiter who should not be working at a restaurant of this caliber; he's not up to the task. In addition to the sushi, we ordered Pad Thai, which was mediocre. Go here for the sushi, and make sure you get a Hawaiian server. They are... More

We were very impressed by the quality of the Sushi from this Sushi bar. The place is very small, and the Sushi Chef, who is very quiet, goes about his work in diligent and professional fashion. This place is expensive, but we would go there again for the quality of the food

Sit at the sushi bar (with Bryce) and order Tuna and Hamachi... Poke dishes are fresh and the fish is good. Kind of pricy but what you'd expect for being in the middle of a resort

What a surprise to find this gem inside the Kukui restaurant at the Marriott Beach Resort in Lihue. If you were not looking, you could easily miss it as it is situated behind the beach front bar. It only seats 8 at the sushi bar, though you can order from the entire bar area. Brice was our sushi chef and... More

I was so excited when I found out there was a Japanese restaurant on the resort location as I had been craving sushi. I agree with other reviewers that it is a bit overpriced for only a 4 or so piece roll. However, there were great options unlike typical sushi places and it tasted so fresh and delicious. I also... We didn't expect to find such great sushi in a Marriott hotel, but Bryce, the sushi chef, blew us away with wonderfully fresh fish and innovate rolls and other dishes. Being from LA, and having 10 sushi bars within 2 miles of our home, I can say that this place measures up. Sit at the bar and ask Bryce to... More

The sushi was OK. Nothing special, but my biggest gripe is the rolls were only 4 pieces, but we're priced liked 8 piece rolls. It was the only time I had sushi on this trip, so I wish I better recommendation, but skip this one.

We are from Alaska, so we are sushi snobs. This was over priced and boring. I wouldn't go back, even if it's easy.
