We went to Gaylord's because of the good dinner reviews hoping for the same for brunch. $30 is pretty average for brunch, but they had a pretty small selection. There was no omelette station, but you could order 1 dish off the a la carte menu. We ordered the prime rib and egg, which was super salty. To their credit... More

Kilohana Plantation is an old sugar cane plantation that has survived to provide a beautiful venue for a romantic evening meal or Sunday brunch. The grounds are open for a stroll through the plantation, and there is even a 45 minute train ride in the afternoon if you are so inclined. The buffet room is inside, while evening seating is... We enjoyed our meal at Gaylords. It's in a quaint plantation style house where all the tables are outside. Two of us had seafood and two of us had steak. The fillets were surprisingly large and very delicious. Would recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner while in Lihue.

We've been to Kauai several times and have always passed Gaylord's at Kilohana but never stopped. I can't believe we've been missing out all this time! Nice ambiance with beautiful outdoor courtyard seating. Exceptional service and the owner even comes around to make sure you are enjoying your experience. This is a very nice place to have a relaxing and fine dinner. We started at the bar and had superb Mai Tai's. Dinner was exquisite with fine food , good waiters ,classy wines and a romantic atmosphere. It is open air,so there are some bugs, use a repellant if they like you to much.

We've been to Gaylord's annually for more than 20 years. It is still the best restaurant on the island to us. Lovely scenery (although inland view), great service excellent food, especially the ono and scallops. We highly recommend it !

We stayed on the other side o the island and all the talk was you have to go to Gaylord's and have their Mie Tie. They grow everything on the plantation from the sugar Cain to the pineapple. It was worth the ride. The staff was first class and friendly. We ended up taking the Rum tour. Again they make... More

Attended Gaylord's on the second night after my arrival in Lihue last week. The setting is gorgeous, historic and the lounge was very comfortable, it's a living room. My companion and I were taken to an outdoor table looking onto the open court. Our server was Rochelle who embodied such enthusiastic, pleasant and friendly service; knew the menu and the... More

I have been here a few times for lunch. The menu is adequate and the food was good. It's the lovely ambiance that makes it a worthwhile place to enjoy a meal. Located in Lihue, it's convenient for both locals & tourists. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.
