Loved the food....but only had a couple of options with the Plantation Owners dinner prior to the Luau Kalamaku. After dinner escorted directly to front row seats to the show. Great tour after dinner.

Dinner was in a beautiful courtyard with a live musician adding to the ambiance. Very romantic. My wife and I had beautifully cooked fresh fish that was completely ruined by a punishing amount of salt. My daughter had pasta with "prawns" that was ok but the prawns were mediocre frozen shrimp. Nice place for a salad and the drinks were... More

This was a wonderful way to end our trip. We started the evening walking the beautiful grounds, enjoying the farm animals and gardens. The atmosphere for dining is so charming, I felt like I was in a Charleston estate. Dinner was exceptional- large portions and a great menu variety. Definitely don't miss the chicken and waffles!!!!! Thank you Gaylord's!

We have dined at Gaylord's several times over the past decade, but I have to say this time was by far the best. The food and service were excellent, even something as "typical" as the country greens salad was outstanding! The setting is amazing, an old sugar plantation - Kilohana - and in the beautiful mansion home of the former... More

Lunch is an excellent option at this site. Without a doubt, I had one of the most attractive Cobb Salads. It was tasty, quite large, with grilled chicken, lovely avocado, plus many other ingredients. The presentation was second to none. Others in our party, enjoyed the Ruben sandwiches. Main courses were affordable and under $20 per person. This was a... More

Gaylord's Luau is better than Smith's. While you don't see a pig in a pit, get there early and enjoy the grounds and some of the local vendors. The bar was good and part of the entry price. The food was actually very good.....and hot. The show was very professionally done and done on a circular stage in the middle... More

We traveled to Kauai with another couple and their young son and decided to eat here for convenience while waiting for a train tour of the plantation grounds. We were surprised by the creative, varied menu and the wonderful atmosphere. Our group ordered a shrimp salad, roasted chicken crepes, and a pulled beef short-rib sandwich. All were delicious, sizeable portions... More

What a unique restaurant. The tables where we sat were open to the outside. It is located on the historic Kilohana Plantation just outside of Lihue, Kauai. We ordered the grilled fresh catch. It was served on a lemon herb risotto, vine ripe tomato marmalade with a garlic confit. We ordered a bottle of 2013 Babich Savignon Blanc "Black Label"... More

My wife and I ate dinner at Gaylord's for both of our birthdays (one day a part). The atmosphere was wonderful and it was one of the best meals we have ever eaten at a restaurant. Great service, great atmosphere. Just go there.
