My wife and I make Gaylord's our "date night" destination when visiting Kauai with the family. Don't confuse the restaurant we visit with the luau, which also is available on the same property. Consistently good food and service with a different setting from many dining alternatives on the island. The table look out on to a large courtyard with the... More

Luau music wasn't too loud once we changed tables and setting and house are lovely. Dinner...not so much. Maybe I chose the wrong things. Caesar salad was mediocre and my ribs were not edible. The waiter was nice and offered to take my dinner back but I was too nauseous to eat...I think I was served vertebrae with pieces if... More

Excellent outdoor setting. Super friendly waitstaff. Great specialty cocktails. Basil vinaigrette on field greens refreshing. Pacific lump crab cakes excellent. Cabernet choice perfectly paired with spicy saffron seafood entree and my filet. Recommend the kilohana plantation pie....much better than description. Best meal on island so far. Go early and check out store upstairs.

The beautiful setting and attentive service were the highlight of our evening. The food was very good, but priced a bit high. Would recommend a light jacket in the evening as it is an outdoor courtyard setting.

The restaurant is located in an old mansion built by a sugar baron. Fantastic ambiance, great service, food was quite good, but it is a bit on the pricey side. Overall a very good experience and it will likely be one of the nicest meals you will get in Kauai.

We stopped in for lunch, we had to wait to be seated in a crappy spot, like on a sidewalk in the sun. The menu was sparce and not much to choose from. I chose a crepe chicken thing. I was an overly eggy pancake with some plain tasting chicken in some kind of drap white sauce....then I bit into... More
