Based upon previous trip advisor reviews, we just had to try the Mai Tai in the lounge: Patrick, our bar tender, proved worthy of the reviews! Our Mai Tai's and pu pus (poke & quesadilla) were fantastic. We followed our cocktail hour with an entertaining rum tasting and delicious dinner. We highly recommend this experience to anyone staying in Kauai.

Gaylord's has great smoked prime rib in a casual lanai setting. Took the train ride through the grounds before enjoying a great dinner. Did not attend the luau. We had great service with just the right amount of personal attention. Deserves its ONO rating!

Our evening at Gaylord's was so enjoyable that we cancelled a booking at another restaurant so that we could return a second time! The meal was excellent on both occasions (they coped really well with my gluten free diet) but the real highlight was listening to Hank playing the piano in the lounge. He is the best pianist I have... More

This gentleman behind the bar makes THE BEST Mai Tai in Kauai and trust me, we've had a few (lol). We stopped here before the rum tasting nearby which is also a must. The grounds are beautiful and there is a train you can take around the property as well.

Lovely setting in a pretty, subtly lit quadrangle. Nice food worth the money paid. The service was pleasant and discrete. Bit miffed when they started packing everything away and closing shutters before we had finished but we have found most things close early in Kauai. Go early if you don't want to feel you are keeping everyone from their bed!!

Gaylord's at Kilohana is a delightful restaurant, and we go there every time we visit Kauai. It is conveniently located just West of Lihue, so is easily accessible from Poipu or Lihue resorts, The service is impeccable, and the setting in the old mansion is relaxing and very beautiful. The food is prepared and presented elegantly. Among our favorites are... More

It's really tempting to give this place a fifth star. It comes so very close. Food was great, wine list was very reasonably priced, and the setting is lovely. But I had to park in a grass field and the service was perhaps not quite as responsive as it should have been for the price. That said, it was a... More

Jess the bartender made us wicked Classic 1944 Mai Tais. We've had our share of Mai Tais in Maui and Kauai but nothing like what Jess makes @ Mahiko Lounge. Possibly the best ever!

Gentle breeze on the lanai. A few roosters strolled thru the lawn area. The servers dress in all black. When the roosters saw them they would take off running. Afraid of the color black. The food was perfect for a hot day. Light and flavorful. We had the Spring Rolls for appetizer. We had the Cobb Salad and Shrimp Salad... More
