I read some reviews that weren't so great, but we have it a try anyway. I should have listened to others advice. First of all, $13 for Tom Ka? Soup with three small slivers of chicken and a few mushrooms? Outrageous. I ordered the paneng chicken curry, and something tasted rotten in it. My mom ordered pad thai but what... More

Maybe just an "off" day, but the food was terrible. Four of us stopped in for lunch today. We ordered 2 Tom Kai Ga soup (for 12.99 each!) and what came out was weak, too small for two people, and not much in the way of ingredients. Husband and I split a Pad Thai which was the worst that I... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Lihue. I having been dining at Gingbua Thai a few time a month over several years. The restaurant never disappoints me. It serves me the best Thai food that I have had outside of Thailand. I have eaten at Thai restaurants in many U.S. cities, and I think this is the best.... More

Well above average tasty Thai food. Lovely dining on their outdoor patio. Good service, and DO NOT miss the tapioca dessert.

We had lunch here and the place was empty. So we had pretty fast service, food quality is above par for the area, we don't regret coming here at all.

Nice server, but even though there was only one other couple in the restaurant, it still took over a half hour after we ordered to get our dinner. The food was OK, but nothing exceptional.

We liked how close it was to the Marriott in Lihue and the prices were in line with everyone elses prices. The food was good and the view was also nice sitting on the balcony. The waitress was friendly and yes, we would go there again on our next trip.

This is not bad Thai food for Kauai. We had eggplant, pad see ew, and fried rice. All was good, except the eggplant had a really bitter taste to it. It is a nice location with both indoor and outdoor seating, no AC, though. Despite the good aspects of this place, it's still hard to get that bitter taste out... More

Whenever my wife and I go to Kauai, we make it a point to eat regularly at Gingbua, and it is always great. The freshest and most flavorful Thai food I've ever had. The outside deck is pleasant, with nice views. And the staff are friendly and attentive. Already planning our next trip...

How do you screw up Thai fried rice? They did it! No flavor no substance just take soy and a few scallions and thats what they added to the rice. The Pad Thai was equally uninspiring. Again no flavor. You'd get better Thai food at the mall. After picking this place my wife wouldn't let me choose eateries for the... More
