Maybe Thai food is not my thing.

Our friends took us here raving about it and neither of us could finish the noodles we ordered. I didn't at all care for the taste or texture of them. They sure didn't sit well on my flight home that night. The restaurant was clean and the workers friendly, but we liked the food the least of... read more

I have come here at least 10 times now and I love every one of their curries. I heard the restaurant is under new management and they have changed up the style to make the food taste like more authentic thai food. I went to Thailand last year and the hardest thing about leaving was the good food and now... More

My wife and I visit Kalapaki Harbor each year and look forward to dining at Gingbua Thai. Better prices than those in the Marriott complex and the freshness and taste at Gingbua are awesome! Highly recommend the walk across the road for great Thai food!

we love this place in terms of friendly service, good tasting food and value. Not much in terms of view or ambiance though. We have been going there for years, sometimes have had a little trouble with the freshness of the seafood so we are cautious about ordering it. Wonderful vegetable tempura and crispy spring rolls.

One of our best meals on our vacation. It was outstanding and inexpensive. Nice wait staff. Right across the street from the Marriott

This restaurant was within walking distance to the Marriott. The food was nice quality but did not leave me craving to return. It was a nice option that was not as expensive as the resort. I'd recommend it if you are staying at the Marriott and don't feel like driving to dinner.

I have been going to Gingbua for years. It is a homey type restaurant but well worth it. Gingbua has become one of our favorite restaurants on the island. The prices are very reasonable and the servings are decent. The Thai food is authentic and tasty. Sometimes the service can be a little on the slow side so I would... More

I read some reviews that weren't so great, but we have it a try anyway. I should have listened to others advice. First of all, $13 for Tom Ka? Soup with three small slivers of chicken and a few mushrooms? Outrageous. I ordered the paneng chicken curry, and something tasted rotten in it. My mom ordered pad thai but what... More

Maybe just an "off" day, but the food was terrible. Four of us stopped in for lunch today. We ordered 2 Tom Kai Ga soup (for 12.99 each!) and what came out was weak, too small for two people, and not much in the way of ingredients. Husband and I split a Pad Thai which was the worst that I... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Lihue. I having been dining at Gingbua Thai a few time a month over several years. The restaurant never disappoints me. It serves me the best Thai food that I have had outside of Thailand. I have eaten at Thai restaurants in many U.S. cities, and I think this is the best.... More
