Fun first lunch

We ate here our first day in Kauai. Needed to pick up groceries and we were starving. Unlike other reviewers we had a very good meal! The food was yummy and so was the Mai Tai's. Our waitress was very friendly and service was good.

This is a great restaurant for a quick, less expensive meal. I got the fish tacos and they were great. For two adults out check was only $23 and in Hawaii that is a win.

Nicely priced food, good quality...and a great 'happy hour' 3-6 with good prices. Can a noisy bar...basically a sports bar with many TV screens and loud background music. Open air on 2nd floor balcony

Unlike so many bad reviews below, we had a good experience. My wife's salad was very good; my Ahi Taco was too. Service was attentive; drinks good. I guess it depends who's on duty.

We stopped in thinking it was good because it was busy, however we were very disappointed. The chicken wrap came out with limpy lettuce that was warm. It all tasted like mush because their was no crunch in the lettuce. The blackened ahi salad was not good as well . Warm lettuce, and the ahi only okay, nothing to write... More

I thought it was pretty cool that they set up a television so we could watch the college basketball game of our choice and have a couple cocktails and munchies. Buffalo wings were very dry The Reuben sandwich well let's not go there. Salsa and chips bland French fries were yummy Mai Tia was my least favorite I've had in... More

Corned beef tough. Didn't get my own meal. Comped for error. No sorry statement. Very poor service. Too many choices so don't make this one.

Let me start off by saying we have had nothing but good experiences at Kalapaki Joes in Poipu, but it was closed for renovation during our trip. We have also previously eaten at Kalapaki Joes in Lihue and haven't had a problem (other than slow service). Because we were in Lihue around dinner time, we went twice during this trip... More

We thought this place might be as good as the one In Waimea. We were very wrong. The place is very run down and needs a total makeover. The food was okay, not great, and the only reason we tried it was because the one in Waimea had been so good. I would never go there again, and advise all... More
