Let me start off by saying we have had nothing but good experiences at Kalapaki Joes in Poipu, but it was closed for renovation during our trip. We have also previously eaten at Kalapaki Joes in Lihue and haven't had a problem (other than slow service). Because we were in Lihue around dinner time, we went twice during this trip... More

We thought this place might be as good as the one In Waimea. We were very wrong. The place is very run down and needs a total makeover. The food was okay, not great, and the only reason we tried it was because the one in Waimea had been so good. I would never go there again, and advise all... More

Just ate at this new location at kukui grove mall. Staff was good. Food and restaurant appearance was terrible. Burgers a me with big blocks of bread as the bun and they were cold. Restaurant appeared dirty and furniture was uneven and some even ripped. Only good thing was the fries.

Terrible food and warm beer. I know in Europe they drink warm beer well I don't live in Europe. The nachos were terrible or even horrible. chops with cheese melted on them with maybe a tablespoon full of beans, no onions or tomatoes, like three slices of jalapeños and we had to ask for salsa. The steak they put on... More

I don't recommend eating here! Bathrooms were gross, and run down, and the food was lousy! Won't eat here again when we come to Hawaii

This is a great place to stop near Lihue. Make sure to sit on the large lanai and enjoy the view of the gardens and ocean. We stopped for a late lunch and ordered the mahi mahi fish and chips and it was delicious.

We used this restaurant/bar for a lunch and dinner while staying at the Plantation Resort - it is on the grounds of the resort but under different management. a limited menu, but all our dishes were well prepared with fresh ingredients. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Resort Cabins are self catering, but this is a great backup and... More

While staying in the nearby Mariott resort, we heard good things about this place from other vacationers, so we decided to check it out. The food was great, the portions generous and the prices affordable. The staff was prompt and friendly, and the bartender who's name was Nilo or Neelo (not sure about the spelling) was knowledgeable about the island... More

Loved the convenience to Marriott Kauai Beach Club so we could watch our favorite basketball team. Good bar and appetizers.

You would think we would have learned reading other reviews - nope, had to find out for ourselves. Lunch should have been 45 minutes tops, took us over 2 hours. We waited over 20 minutes for the first server to stop by. It took over 45 minutes to get our food after we ordered and then a good 20 minutes... More
