When I lived in Kauai, I used to go all the time for happy hour. When I come visit, I try to always make sure I stop by for some food and drinks. The shrimp tacos are delicious. 25 cents chicken wings during HH are a must.

We ate dinner! I had the steak nachos! Huge plate, very delicious! Guacamole was awesome! Sangria was wonderful too! My husband had wings which were very good, with a glass of house wine! My brother had chicken fingers and fries! He said it was very good long with his bud light! And my sister I. Law had chicken quesadilla along... More

The food here is wonderful: great takes on some classic Hawaiian dishes and reasonably priced seafood. Even better, from 3 to 6 almost every day, the happy hour offers cheap drinks and cheap, delicious appetizers. $2 off the poke makes it a wonderful bargain, and a huge plate of chips and salsa was only 2.99.

Were here on a Sunday night during a recent stay at the Marriott across the street. Food overall was not bad but the service was very slow. Took a long time to get seated even though there were a number tables available. Wait staff was not much better. There were a couple of tables of younger intoxicated patrons nearby that... More

Lovey restaurant on the grounds of the beautiful Waimea Plantation Cottages Resort. Burgers and fries were cooked just right and the prices were very reasonable for Hawaii. Would go back in a heart beat.

Where do I begin. I am not good about writing reviews and as you'll see this is my first - but I feel obligated to warn any potential guests about this place. The restrooms make a gas station bathroom look like a spa. Service has to be the last priority. If you don't mind waiting 30 minutes between 'check ins'... More

My husband and I stopped here on the first evening of our trip, after a lovely drink at Duke's across the street. We were excited to hear there was a shopping/dining complex near our room at the Marriott, until we saw it (it was a ghost town straight from the 80s). We figured we'd check out Kalapaki Joe's because it... More

We loved Kalapaki Joe's and went several times during our stay. We were a little wary as the laminated menu did not shout "amazing food", but don't let that fool you. The food is amazing. The Luau Pork Pupu appetizer is delicious, as is the Kiawe Smoked Pork Traditional entree. The ahi & avacado poke was also fresh and absolutely... More
