We were referred by a friend who had visited a few months prior. Hands down the best meal we had on the island!

Recommended by some other travelers we met on Kauai we decided to try Savage Shrimp. The menu was reasonably priced with a great selection of items from which to choose. There is limited seating, indoor and out, but the food is fresh, tasty and well worth a stop.

The food was ok. I had the garlic shrimp and my boyfriend had the shrimp tacos. I wish I would have went with the spicy shrimp as the garlic didn't have much flavor for my taste. Everything was fresh. My boyfriend was equally unimpressed with his shrimp tacos as there was more cabbage on them than anything. Just a little... More

Portions were good, the drinks well made and the atmosphere was Island style all the way. I was hoping for really good fish and chips, instead I got plenty of fish with a not completely cooked breading. No Ranch dressing for my salad, either.

We stumbled onto this place both hungry and looking for seafood our last night in Kauai. We had made a reservation at a fancy expensive restaurant for our last night and decided to cancel. What a great decision. I had Aloha shrimp plenty of savory sauce for the sticky rice and prawns and my wife had Savage shrimp which was... More

We're not impressed". We got it to go because it was not too nice inside. The shrimp was not too tasty. Everything is 13 and up

Luv this place- the shrimp are scrumptious...... We loved the place when it was the funky truck parked on the road, but it is still great & served in the trendy new Shopping Center. Highly recommend.....

The very small shrimp shack was one of the better meals we had during our visit. The staff was friendly and offered great suggestions. The amount of delicious shrimp on the plate was beyond filling, I had coconut shrimp and I got like 8 big pieces with rice and slaw for not much money and it was delicious! I would... More

This eatery used to be housed in a truck parked on the road side. Now it has real tables and chairs. The food is just what it says - shrimp and sticky rice with a variety of sauces and fixin's. Inexpensive and wonderful.
