This was an expensive luau at $97 per person and we sat on plastic chairs. The drinks seemed alright at first and then were so watered down that even I could drink more than two without feeling a thing. The food was so so, though I don't eat pig and my fellow travelers told me that was the best part.... more

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for our honeymoon and as part of our package price got a 2 for 1 deal to the luau. That was a great deal considering it was only half price for us to get in (it's kind of expensive). The food was VERY good, and it is all you can eat;... more

I have stayed at the Hyatt Kauai several times, I must say, Great Hotel, LOUSY LUAU. I had a party of 7 (3 kids, Wife and In-Laws). I wanted to treat them to a Luau that they would always remember. At the price of 100.00 a head and great expectations from the Hyatt, I was greeted to a cattle call... more

The Hyatt's luau was a class act. The staff was very good, keeping things moving and organized. The Mai Tais were good, and they keep them coming. The outdoor setting was comfortable and beautiful, though it wouold have helped to spray anti-mosquito spray beforehand. The music was very good, and the MC/singer was entertaining. The food was excellent. The show... more

After going to the Old Lahaina luau on Maui, and Smith's Plantation on Kauai, we decided to try the luau at the Grand Hyatt in Poipu. We were delighted to find that this had the most beautiful setting, the best food, and best show of all of the previous luaus. The setting is a stunning location right on the ocean,... more

The entertainment made this a great experience. The performers were amazing and really brought the audience into the show. The food was good, a little overpriced but the venue and entertainment well made up the difference. more

We went to the luau a couple of weeks ago. I was expecting the luau to be outside but instead it was in a conference room. We sat banquet style at very large tables (maybe 30 people per table). The food and drink were all you can eat/drink. The food was good. The dancing was entertaining. But for the price... more

I have been to several luau's in my life and this one ranks as the most disappointing. We took our kids who were really excited about their first luau. It was basically a ton of tables with those cheap flimsy lawn type chairs all crammed together in a courtyard. The stage was far away (we had arrived 20 minutes early... more

We were waiting to see an authentic Luau but this really didn't cut it! This was definitely intended for your average sucker tourist. My boyfriend commented that he was expecting to sit on the floor indian style and see fire-breathers but this wasn't that kind of show. The dancers were all out of sync and there were entirely too many... more
