This is a fun little place in old Koala town. The waitress/manager was so friendly and informative that she made it a pleasure to be there. They serve the best fresh Iced Tea we had on the island. Their vegitarian sandwich was very tasty, their burgers big and good, and their very hawaiian type kulua pork plate very moist and... more

We always make TomKats one of our first stops when we arrive on Kauai. We always go for a late lunch and it's been fantastic 3 years in a row. Some people might not like the birds and Cats milling about but it adds to the place. The kula pig sandwiches is superb along with their battered shrimp. We'll be... more

We did dinner in Koloa at Tomkats. It was our daughters 3rd birthday that day and there was a duet performing live music at Tomkat who gave us a wonderful Hawaiian rendition of Happy Birthday. Tomkats was decent. Tried Saimon there otherwise, just bar-type food. Kailua pork quesidillas were notable. Looked like a fun place for a drink and they... more

The food was "made" from prefabricated offerings..think public school cafeteria quality. The prices are not completely out of line for the island, but the quality is severely lacking. more

This was our second visit to Tomcats. It is in Old Koloa Town and real handy when in town. There just is not much competition in town. Too bad the food isn't a little bit better. Seating is in an interior patio, around a little garden. It looks nice, but it also looks a little rundown. The lunch menu is... more

We just returned from eating dinner at Tomkats. Without a doubt one of the worst meals I have ever eaten. Let me summarize - you decide. We had the cheese only quesadilla to start -if you are familiar with Sysco products this dished used them all, shredded cheese product, processed guacamole, and bottled salsa. My wife had the "Oriental stir... more

Read mixed reviews of a lot of places in Poipu/Koloa area and thought we would try here. I ordered Pulehu (teriyaki) chicken sandwich @ 9.95 and wife had shrimp scampi @ 21.95. Even by Kauai standards entrees turned out to be poor choices/values. My chicken sandwich was slab of chicken breast on store bought hamburger bun w/ minimal teriyaki sauce/flavor... more
