So. Good.

This is not a sit down restaurant. They don't even have chairs. Its a small shack, easily missed. What they do have is fresh, good food. We visit them multiple times when we go to Kaua'i. We would have their plate specials (Laulau or Kahlua pork) or their poke bowls. Service has always been fast... read more

Got the 3 pc sautéed ono plate lunch for $12. Took less than 60 seconds and it was ready. Fish must have been precooked and I saw them squirt the caper/butter sauce from a plastic bottle. Fish was tough and rubbery with the skin on. Trying to remove the skin resulted in breaking the plastic fork. That's how tough it... More

Quick service and few selections. The ahi poke did not really compare to that at food land, that's my honest opinion. We drove to food land the second day (an hour drive) and got much better poke.

We got takeout from here yesterday-don't be put off by the crowd. The service is very fast(I don't know how they do it), we had two fried chicken plate lunches for our two girls, an ahi poke bento box for me, and the ono with teriyaki plate lunch for my husband. With a Pepsi and a Gatorade it came to... More

We visited this establishment several times during our stay in Kauai in Feb/March 2015. We chose meals from the menu and the poke. Each time the food was very good and each time the service was less than friendly. I understand how busy this place can be, and there certainly appeared to be enough staff, but those who are there... The Koloa Fish Market is not to be missed. The menu selections are interesting. Ingredients and food preparation are first rate, and the service is outstanding. We enjoyed the fish & Chips and the Fish Burger for lunch. Our experience has made us want to return some evening to check out the dinner menu.

After travelling the globe, I know when something is good and bad! The young gal behind the counter is 10 times better than any Kardshins' and nice, however overall food service and selection is not! This is a takeout place for the locals, and would not recommend for family, with young kids. Unlike the other reviews, due to a subpar... More

After I leave Kauai I will long for their selection of amazing poke. The front four selections were gluten free. The avocado ahi poke is WONDERFUL! The fish used is so fresh and tender. People kept telling me to go to the town of Kapaa for poke but there was no comparison. Koloa Fish Market was 100 times better.

I stopped by Koloa Fish Market to pick up some fish to cook for dinner. A 1-pound chunk of bigeye ahi. It was wonderful. But the best part of our visit was picking up dessert. I'd seen a sign advertising sweet potato pie, and I decided to pick some up. I now have a new favorite dessert. Not-too-sweet, this crumbly-crust... More

Very great selection of Poke. I like the Korean the best. The Haupia sweet potato pie is delicious. My last day in Kauai I tried the plate lunch and it is one of the best I've ever had all over Hawaii! I ordered the Ono with Wasabi Cream Sauce. Amazing!!! The Mac salad is tasty and overall just a really... More
