Fabulous plate lunch

This place has fantastic food for a reasonable price. The Hawaiian lunches are very good as is the poke bento. Be prepared to take your lunch to go as there are no eat in options. A great stop on the way to the beach! A favourite locals lunch spot.

I got food here four times during my stay on Kauai. The poke is amazing- so fresh. The avocado and korean were my favorites (not too spicy!). I also tried a box lunch one day, which was an amazing value- so much food. It's take out only, so grab some stuff and take yourself on a picnic.

Stop here for lunch on our way to Waimea Canyon. This is not a sit down place. We picked up our poke and ate on the side of the building by the parking lot. We got a 1/2 lb of Shoya poke and 1/2 lb of the avocado poke. This was the first time I had poke. I had tried... More

Purchased fresh fish to cook on grill at our resort. Delicious! Employees very helpful. Go early in the day while selection is good. We were there at 10am when they opened and there was already a line waiting to get in!

Got the 3 pc sautéed ono plate lunch for $12. Took less than 60 seconds and it was ready. Fish must have been precooked and I saw them squirt the caper/butter sauce from a plastic bottle. Fish was tough and rubbery with the skin on. Trying to remove the skin resulted in breaking the plastic fork. That's how tough it... More

This is not a sit down restaurant. They don't even have chairs. Its a small shack, easily missed. What they do have is fresh, good food. We visit them multiple times when we go to Kaua'i. We would have their plate specials (Laulau or Kahlua pork) or their poke bowls. Service has always been fast and excellent. Be prepared to... More

Quick service and few selections. The ahi poke did not really compare to that at food land, that's my honest opinion. We drove to food land the second day (an hour drive) and got much better poke.

We got takeout from here yesterday-don't be put off by the crowd. The service is very fast(I don't know how they do it), we had two fried chicken plate lunches for our two girls, an ahi poke bento box for me, and the ono with teriyaki plate lunch for my husband. With a Pepsi and a Gatorade it came to... More

We visited this establishment several times during our stay in Kauai in Feb/March 2015. We chose meals from the menu and the poke. Each time the food was very good and each time the service was less than friendly. I understand how busy this place can be, and there certainly appeared to be enough staff, but those who are there... The Koloa Fish Market is not to be missed. The menu selections are interesting. Ingredients and food preparation are first rate, and the service is outstanding. We enjoyed the fish & Chips and the Fish Burger for lunch. Our experience has made us want to return some evening to check out the dinner menu.
