When you stop by Koloa town (because you will), swing by Sueoka's Snack Shop for a quick, cheap takeaway meal of local foods. There's a lot of choices and some highlights are their Loco Moco (comes in bowl or full plate form), Mahi burger (they can run out!), and Shrimp burger. They also do plates w/rice, chicken, beef, pork, shrimp,... More

This was the cheapest meal I had in Hawaii and definitely the best value. It's a walk up stand next to the grocery store and you can get terrific plate lunch for about $6.50. I had the mahi mahi plate lunch - not a huge portion but just fine for me and a great value. The macaroni potato salad was... More

This is a walk up window attached to Sueoka mini-mart. No tables or seats. But the food is excellent for the price and tasty. The most expensive item was less than $7, a bargain in Kauai. We ordered the fried shrimp plate, tempura style. Shrimp was fresh not frozen (Lokey local caught), crispy perfection served with rice and Mac salad.... More

Shrimp patty/burger and teri burger were pretty good. Order of onion rings for $4 yielded about 5 smallish, medium size onion rings. Most notable was the wait time...4 sandwiches 25 minutes...so if you think this would be a quick stop, I would rethink. Don't expect a nice staff either. If it weren't for the decent prices, I'd give it a... More

We ordered 3 different plate lunches and my family if 4 gobbled them up. Both tasty and inexpensive. But the food is to go - no where to sit on site.

Bought a few souvenirs and my husband bought: Tako Poke Ogo Tako Onion Wine! He ate it outside and loved it! It's a nice little pick me up grocery store with a few souvenir items. You can pick up a snack or two!

Stopped by for a quick lunch…well, quick after getting in line with about a dozen people. We just ordered a couple cheeseburgers which were moist and tasty. The only possible problem would be parking…it’s a little tight and their parking lot can get pretty full. Would definitely go back for another quick, cheap meal.

During our day long Roberts tour, the tour guide recommended this place as we drove past. Later I saw in Hawaii Magazine Sueoka was top 10 of all Hawaii. So we tried it. It is a walk up window next to the grocery store. For 4 orders it was $30.15 (no kam discounts). It was about a 10 minute wait.... More

On a 10 day vacation, we usually get lunch here 3-5 times! My husband loves the loco moco. He would eat it daily if I let him. Fast service, mostly locals eating here - so good! Must go!

Sueoka's snack shop is, hands down, the single best value for lunch on the island. The authentic plate lunches are not only filling but a bargain! Kalua pork and cabbage served three days per week is exceptional. The chopped steak is more along the lines of a stir-fry with fresh veggies and teriyaki- fantastic! I love the no-nonsense sign at...
