Nice family setting for a Laua.

The Smith family do a nice job here. We skipped the meal and went for the show only, saved our $$. You should visit the gardens during the day and feed the peacocks.

We have been to luaus on Maui, Oahu, the big island, and now Kauai. This was probably my favorite one because it wasn't super crowded, and one could walk around the beautiful grounds without feeling pushed, rushed, or herded like cattle. The food was very good, and there was plenty of it. The mai tais were plentiful. The show afterwards... More

I didn't expect the food to be so delicious but it was amazing. The pork!!! Open bar and beautiful sites including many peacocks showing off for the females. The show was A+++++!!! Worth every penny!

The package cost us $88 for food, drink and a show. There is plenty to see in the gardens before the food, then the bar is open after the pig is removed from the ground. After the meal and drinks, there is a wonderful Luau show, after sunset, and we both really enjoyed it. Would recommend

From the moment we arrived their was a true family friendly atmosphere. Grounds are beautiful, dinner is outstanding, drinks were superb, (2 small bars, 200 people, and you never had to wait for a drink, it was amazing). Dinner show very nicely done and the back drop for the main show was as enjoyable as the show itself. I would... More

The Luau show was very well produced. It covered the history and colonization of Hawaii and represented all the contributing cultures. The stage is located across a small lagoon from the amphitheater. At times, the performers danced on the wall that separated the lagoon and the audience. The lighting was well done and the "volcanic" eruption was done similarly to... More

The gardens at Smith's are beautiful! After being greeted with a shell lei you will have time to explore the beautiful gardens on a tram ride and then by foot if you choose. Next, they perform a ceremony as they dig out the pig from the ground and explain some of the process for cooking it. After this we were... More

At the dinner part we felt like we were at a wedding we weren't invited to. The food was marginal. You are packed in like cattle. The show was the same dancers dancing the same dance to the same terrible singers, over and over. I thought there would be a "story" or some sort of theme, but there wasn't. We... More

My boyfriend and I were visiting Kauai, and I checked both online reviews and three different guidebooks to help find a experience for my first-time luau. Smith's had uniformly good reviews and was cheaper than its competitors, and overall we were thrilled with our choice. The experience started at 5pm (there's no point in arriving early, because the doors don't... More
