I was surprised to see how easily these people were able to handle the number of people at this event. We showed up to get our photos taken and proceeded to a tram that took us on a tour of the beautiful grounds. They then let us off to explore on our own. This is the perfect location to get... More

We went with a group, and they had reserved a table with easy access and good view of the stage. When we arrived we took a tram ride around the complex before being dropped off at a fire pit where a pig had been roasting all day. After they removed the pig, we were invited into the dining area where... More

Very professionally done and you can tell they are a warmhearted Hawaiian family- Aloha! You start out with a tram ride of the Beautiful Gardens and the driver/guide is fun and entertaining. The pig in the ground ceremony is well done and the main Smith-family male host/speaker/singer is superb! Very comfortable and accommodating. While you eat (buffet style) and drink... More

I was going to say this was a pricey evening - however on reflection everything was first class. We went early hoping to walk around the grounds prior to the luau. Unfortunately they do not let you in early to do this; so if you plan on attending be aware of this. The staff is excellent and welcoming, they move... More

Excellent luau. Hard to decide which luau to go to on Kauai. So pleased with Smith family luau. Make sure you get there early to walk around the gardens they are beautiful and hold a variety of plants. Food was great and plenty of it. The entertainment was phenomenal, great variety highlighting all the islands.

We were on a Hawaiian islands cruise and decided to go to the Smith's family luau on our first night on Kauai and boy were we glad!!! Such beautiful grounds, excellent food (especially the Hawaiian betroot, Kalua pork (yuuuum!) and dessert & the entertainment was great also! What a lovely family! :) Once you've finished dinner, be sure to go... More

If you want to experience a luau, there are definitely better venues on Oahu, Maui, or the Big Island. Upon entrance, you get on a tram that takes you around tropical gardens, a ride you know is a tourist trap but nevertheless enjoyable. You are let out to witness the pig dug up in an Imu ceremony. Then you are... More

This was the best luau anyone in our group have attended. The food was awesome. Much better than one would expect with such a large group to feed. Very educational for all but even more so for the kids. The show was great as well. The family was very nice and service was excellent. I would recommend this Luau over... More

The grounds tram tour was very good and the meal was good also. The show after the meal was outstanding! The owner and his father were on site and part of the event. There was even entertainment during the meal (see attached).
