The grounds are really cool. Even if you don't typically love gardens, you will enjoy seeing their property. I thought the buffet was fine and we met several nice couples. It is pretty expensive, but pretty much everything in Hawaii is expensive. The show itself is absolutely brutally boring. If you go, I would recommend going to see the garden,... More

This was my 3rd luau and probably the worst show I've seen. It was very hokey and did not appear traditional at all compared to previous shows I've seen. However, all luaus get boring after a few minutes unless you truly understand the history and culture. The food was the BEST compared to other luaus which took me by surprise.... More

The food was delicious. The Mai Tai's weren't bad either! This is great family entertainment for a reasonable price. I also recommend the Smith river boat tour of the fern grotto.

I like the family approach to the Smith Garden Luau. It made the experience special. The grounds are interesting. The food was definitely a step above any Luau I've attended in Hawaii. Unfortunately, the show was substandard. They had a nice touch with the exploding volcano, but that's about the limits to the interest.

I've reviewed this several times now on Trip Advisor … this is to be skipped. Uncomfortable seating and terribly boring show! Just skip it! note: we only saw the show and did not do the entire laua meal.

First off they offer a shuttle that will come and pick you up from your hotel and take you back when it is over, so no worries about the strong ever flowing mai tais. Took the tram around the garden before the show... That was ok but had plenty of time after to wonder on our own prior to the... More

The show had a nice display of various cultures. I enjoyed the food but got ill when I returned to the hotel.

We attended Smith's Luau last week and I was really pleasantly surprised. The grounds are beautiful so make sure you arrive a little early to enjoy. I would recommend that the guide on the train show a little more enthusiasm (he might have been tired). This is a very well run organization from the get go. We loved our family... More

Beautiful grounds, great food, decent entertainment. This is an adult friendly luau. This luau does not cater to young children. Kids are definitely welcome, but I would not recommend bringing them. There are no kid food options I.e French fries, chicken tenders, hot dogs or plain rice. If you've got a picky eater BRING FOOD! There is NO pre-dinner entertainment... More

Attended the luau a few nights ago. Purchased the tickets online and saved $10 per ticket. From the moment we arrived everyone was very friendly and the event was well organized. The grounds are beautiful and provided lots of photo opportunities. The open bar was nice (Longboard!) and the food was good as well... Not amazing, but good nonetheless. The... More
