Come hungry especially if eating breakfast

Though the prices are high compared to mainland, that is retty true of most things on the Island. Ever had one pancake that was too big to finish? the chocolate chip was just that. Other items were very nice. if going f=in the morning, be prepared to wait. It is very popular. We went for late... read more

Had the Loco Moco this morning with cornbread. Tried both the traditional and hr Kalua pig. Both were great. Topped my cornbread with coconut syrup instead of honey - so good. The pancakes look good too, but when I come here I come for try Loco Moco.

Awesome food! Friendly service ! Local vibe! Ordered the loco moco w/ corned beef hash, was delicious. Wife ordered they special of the day, eggs Benedict on taro bread. Both were great. This was our third time eating here. First time was a couple years ago.. Quality hasn't changed! Pack an appetite. FYI pancakes are great too! They are about... More

Small place, but clean and served good food. Portions are good, and pricing is not unasonable. I had the Macadamia Nut pancake, and it was quite large, as big as the plate; it was cooked perfectly, not too thick and not overly cakey. And best of all, the pancake was absolutely delicious. I would definitely eat here again.

We ended up here for breakfast after a guidebook led us astray regarding Small Town Coffee (just a truck, not a cafe). Was fine, is your basic diner with basic diner food, nothing special but something for everyone. A little overpriced for what it was but it is Hawaii, so not surprising. There are better cafe options out there but... More

Kountry Kitchen is a slice of Hawaii you don't want to miss for breakfast... staying in Lihue, we made the 20 min drive several mornings for the food and service - it is excellent, especially the Loco Moko, a Hawaiian breakfast classic. Yes, there is a good chance you will have to wait for 20 mins or so but consider... More

we had to wait inline for our table... this is one busy place in the morning. The food was a bit greasy, but good.

We are locals on Kauai and haven't eaten at this restaurant before until my friend told me they have the best corn beef on the island. I love corn beef hash for breakfast, so that's exactly what I ordered. There wasn't that many people waiting outside but we still had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. (They turn tables... More

This place is tiny, crowded, and you will usually have to wait to get in, but it is worth it! The food is just outstanding. I usually am suspect of restaurants that serve huge portions - think many of them are trying to make up for poor cooking. The Kountry Kitchen serves huge portions and they are delicious. I had... I had the loco moco which was really good. The pancakes are big and the food was reasonably priced. I would go back.
