It cost us around $60 for two adults which is a more expensive dinner than we are usually apt to pay. In this case it was definately not worth it. I got fresh ahi which was terribly bland and not nearly as good as I had found at other places for cheaper, and my husband got a small piece of... more

...despite the above description. Our meal was fine on the border of good but I was appalled when we asked the waitress if she had anything for our son, and her reply was "I don't know, maybe some crackers?" She wound up bringing some noodles with butter which was nice, but he ate none of it and she charged a... more

We were all excited to go here our first night in town and start the vacation with a Hula show or live music. There was none of it. The service was slow, slow, slow and the food was nothing great and overpriced. Our worst meal on the island more

Hula Girl was certainly an average experience. We got there an had to wait for seating, which was fine, we told the host that we would be at the bar. The bartender was friendly, but took forever getting to us. The highlight of the night was the Mai Tai--my husband says it's the best he had on the island. When... more

Avoid if at all possible. I just came back from Kauai two days ago and made writing a review about this place a priority upon returning to warn unsuspecting people of this tragic place. After being seated we ordered our drinks which came with ice that had dirt and hair frozen into it. The waitress was shocked that I asked... more

After getting recommendations for this restaurant, we decided to try it. Open-air restaurant facing the highway, it is decorated with chipped formica tables and K-Mart furniture (we actually have the same brand out in our backyard). Prices were much more than I would normally pay for the casualness of the restaurant - entrees averaged $20-30. For that price, I want... more

Very enjoyable: delicious (ono) food, moderate seafood prices, friendly service. The catch of the day was prepared 3 ways; sautéed was excellent and pan-seared was very good. They accommodated a request for a bed of linguini rather than rice pilaf – which worked quite well for sautéed fish. Coconut crab cakes were an ono and unusual appetizer. Mai tais were... more

The food was okay, but not exceptional. Drink refills were spares. The waiter forgot that we existed. I noticed that the next table received the same lack of attention. The meal was supposed to be safe for my food allergy, but I felt sick after I ate, which tells me that I got a little bit of something that I... more

Located in the Coconut Marketplace, it was my first stop on my first night on Kaua`i. I started with poke, cubes of ahi tuna, that just melted in my mouth. The fish of the day was mahi mahi, and it was excellent. The restaurant is small and not too attractive, but serves some great food. more
