My boyfriend and I were in Kauai for two weeks and we absolutely loved this place. It was authentic and awesome. A great little taco place with a chill Hawaiian vibe. We weren't looking for anything fancy, just a good taco or burrito and a place to sit outside. We got served at Mermaids Cafe. The food was amazing and... More

Good selection of Veggie food. Just a few outside tables, but get a to go option and take it to the beach.

My husband and I ordered the nori wrap and tropical tacos. We both love wasabi, but the nori wrap had so much wasabi that you could not enjoy the wrap...the flames coming out of our nares overwhelmed any other flavor. The tacos were unusual, as they contained rice (does that make it an open burrito?) and the ahi was coated... More

The staff was really nice about changing a dish to make it gluten-free. Everything was fresh and I was impressed how many vegetables were on the plate! I added them to my list of gluten-free options in Kauai: http://raeraegoesreal.wordpress.com/2014/03/06/gluten-free-on-kauai/

We were walking around in town and spotted a line at this place. Since it was lunch time, we decided to give it a try. I got the ahi nori wrap, which was excellent. My husband got something else, with tofu, which I had a bite of. So-so. Service was slow - it didn't seem like staff was in any... More

One of the still few vegetarian friendly places with good tasting food and reasonable prices. Don't know if all ingredients are, but I hear they try to get as much organic and local food as they can, and many local residents are customers. Tacos, burritos, salads, etc., a little but not too spicy. They've got fish and meat as well... More

Let's face it, vegetarian food is hard to come by in Kauai... so it's regrettable that I have to give this place a bad review. Not that many options for veggies, but you can substitute with tofu. Very pricey for basically a wrap filled with rice and a bit of lettuce and tomato on the side. Upward of $13 for... More

So good, so healthy... I just wish they would put the prices on the menu. It shouldn't be a big secret!

The menu has lasted for years- just had the amazing satay again, wish I knew the recipe! Big portions, healthy and so delicious- coco curry, ahi wraps with cilantro sauce. All with cute outdoor dining, quick service for Kauai! Fun location too. Affordable and Ono!

VERY small outdoor seating only, window order, sit down and enjoy! Great food! I loved the Nori wrap so much we went back again a few days later, although that time we shared 1 wrap because they are large. Great taste, worth finding and trying! fresh and yummy
