The sushi here was excellent. I like that it's a real local place as well. The restaurant was packed for a Tuesday night and we looked like one of the few tourist tables in the place. Very reasonable pricing and fresh sushi. We made reservations and suggest you do the same, regardless of what night you decide to go. The... More

My sister and I went here for dinner based on a recommendation. The service from the hostesses was poor. It took a few minutes before we were even acknowledged upon entering the restaurant. The entree I wanted was unavailable and I didn't really enjoy the dish I did end up ordering. I was disappointed based on the good reviews, so... More

Great hibachi style food. We enjoyed sharing the table with other couples. This too was walking distance from our cottage

We didn't have a reservation and had to wait quite awhile, so next time we'll have that reservation. Food is very good, service is good and this is definitely a "locals" place.

This is a very popular and busy place. It is only open for dinner.. . . .from 5:30 -9:30pm. . . I had heard it was very popular and since I was still on California time, I went around 5:15. There were already people lined up outside ! I sat at the sushi bar, and by the time I left,... More

Went here based upon two locals' suggestion as the best restaurant on the island. You have a choice of sitting at the sushi bar, at a table, or at a cooking station where the chef prepares your meal in front of you, ala Beni Hana. We sat at a cooking station and ordered both fish and sushi. Fish was great,... More

Sushi was best part of the meal. Shrimp were fairly good. Miso soup was not good, at all. Staff seemed uninterested and somewhat rude. I wouldn't go back. All in all, is was much overpriced for the quality of food and service.

Best sushi on the island. The Bali Hai Bomb is my favorite. Save room for dessert because the green tea mud pie is amazing. Great place for family get togethers or just a nice dinner with your other half

The deep fried squid is some of the best we've had on the planet. The gyoza was delicious. The sushi we ordered was amazing! We ended up taking some home so we could leave room for the chocolate macadamia cake(hula pie). Sensational! One of our favorite feeds on Kauai.

I'm a vegetarian so it is sometimes hard to find something to eat. Staff was accommodating. Prepared a vege version of sukiyaki. It was tasty. Miso soup was good. Vege rolls were fresh. My daughter's pork was cooked perfectly. Wide assortment of beers and a full bar. Can order tapanyaki style, sit at susi bar, or Japanese style on pillows... More
