Service was very attentive. Husband had calamari for an app (amazing!!) and sushi platter with an assortment. I had soba noodles for my app and vegetarian sushi for my entree. Yummy but cut a little large. I felt like a chipmunk with stuffed cheeks. Great prices for Kauai. We got there when they opened at 5:30 so we wouldn't have... More

First off, we had wonderful service and being that it was our family's Christmas eve dinner, it was busy! We were able to get seated fairly quickly with a reservation for a party of 7. We also were served on a timely manner as well. Our waiters were all very friendly and went above and beyond. As for the food,... More

Supposedly this place had the best sushi on Kauai so we made sure to go. You can't have reservations unless you are a large party, so even though we arrived early we had to sit at the bar. The sushi was very fresh - also very traditional. Nothing super creative. Prices are higher than the mainland of course, but comparable... More

We went here with a group of family members and had a wonderful meal. Everything we tried, from Edamame and Miso soup on up to the sushi and teriyake were all wonderful. The staff was attentive despite how busy they were.

This is a VERY popular restaurant so expect to wait, even if you have a reservation. We were seated 25 minutes after our reservation; those without reservations were told they'd have a one hour wait (I think it was longer because I saw so many people leaving who'd been sitting when I walked in. ). However the food is phenomenal.... More

I was hoping for some delicious sushi while in Hawaii, and based on the recommendations of a local we went here. I was disappointed. My tuna was off color and tasted off. We did try a new roll; the rock and roll and that was good, but 1 out of 4 rolls being good is not great odds. Service was... More

Best calamari that I have ever had. The California and Spicy Tuna were very good. Generous portions at a very reasonable price. Several of the locals recommended it to us.

Many good restaurants on Kauai, but few great ones. IMHO, this one is the best. The food is wonderful and the prices, unlike most on this island, are really reasonable. Just returned from Kauai, and this was easily the best meal we had on this trip. Be sure to make a reservation if you want the food cooked at your... More

I had a dinner there for my birthday. We were on time for our reservation (early) and seated late. Waiting is under bright fish aquarium lighting. I have never had such a condescending rude waiter EVER. Well we will get to that. My friends may still write a review but will focus on my meal. I asked for a bar... More

I am a Japanese food fan and I have been told that Hawaii is the best place, after Japan. Well it must be true but not here. The staff is friendly and even without reservation we waited just 10'. We got a nice table and got served really quickly. I had the gyoza and sushi menu. The first was really... More
