European Restaurant in Laid Back Kapaa

Great food, excellent Euro-centric wine list. Be sure to make a reservation for dinner as this is a small, busy restaurant. And did I mention reasonable priced?

This is such a beautiful restaurant. We went there for breakfast and dinner. Food is great and always with some special ideas and surprises. Staff is friendly and helpful even when you arrive very late. We just enjoyed every minute at Art Cafe Hemingway so don't miss it.

Overall good experience but it is hard to get a seat. The breakfast was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. The crab with my eggs was drizzled with lime and was a taste sensation. The meusili and fruit was very good as well.

We had trouble finding really great food in Kauai... but Cafe Hemingway was an exception. We were so happy when we stumbled upon Cafe Hemingway! We went for dinner. I had an excellent beet salad and the Thai Soup. Everything was super fresh! The soup was SO good that I asked for the recipe. The server took my email down... More

We don't usually go to upscale restaurants, preferring to spend our time on experiences rather than meals. But, the Art Cafe Hemingway looked quietly appealing, and so we decided to make an exception to our dining habits, and we're so glad we did. Candlelight dining, with a wonderful French bistro feel to it....the menu was small, but very creative. Some... More

I came to Art Cafe Hemingway for Thanksgiving Dinner with my boyfriend. We didn't have the full menu but chose a salad for starter, a tarte and a lychee/rice dish for mains and the single most amazing mousse au chocolate for dessert. Absolutely superb food, great service. Highly recommended!

The cafe was a good experience. I had the True at First Light meal, which was delicious. It included an omelet with tomato and basil, fresh bread and a yogurt parfait with fresh fruit. I will definitely be returning to try their other offerings. 👍🏽

This place is right next door to Kountry Kitchen where my husband wanted to have breakfast. I opted for the Art Cafe Hemingway because the wait wasn't as long and I am so glad we tried it! I felt like I was eating real food. Like real homemade, non-preservative, amazing, good food. Crepes, homemade yogurt, bread, good coffee, etc. So... More

I haven't had a croissant this good since traveling in Europe or Montreal. Nice variety on the menu. I would rate it excellent except the bathroom was really gross. The rest of the place was very nice.

We enjoyed the food and the vibe in this place. One of those cozy places where you connect with other travelers, swap stories, write postcards, sip tea/coffee, dry off after a downpour, etc.
