This is a little gem in the midst of various restaurants with the normal American fare.European type menu with European size dishes (no wonder they don't have a weight problem!) we have been semi-permanent residents for the past ten years and have only just found Hemingways. We have been twice in the past week, and just love the food, and... More

My husband and I enjoyed our breakfast at this quaint little spot with an artistic touch/ ambiance. We both had the croissant sandwich with ham, scrambled eggs, smokes Gouda, lettuce and tomatoes. It was exactly what we wanted and delicious! The service was a bit slow but we were having a leisurely morning so we didn't mind. If you want... More

It does not look like much from the outside but is a little gem inside. The food is delicious and refined and the coffee is excellent. The prices are reasonable. Lovely decor. The only disappointment is the service which is very slow. Most of the staff are young and seem a bit lost. The two owners rush about looking stressed... More

We are staying in Kapa'a and saw the cafe and thought it looked cute but there are a lot of appealing local places. It was the reviews here that decided me and I am so glad I went. We had breakfast at a leisurely pace, which was fine. You want to loiter here. If you're in a hurry then stop... More

I liked the look of the menu so we headed out. Service was really odd, hubby and I got served and our son was served just as we were finishing our plates. We got warm water in a little cup which would have been cute if the water was cold. Hubby and I both had Camembert to start which was... More

What an experience. From the time we stepped in the service was great. The ambience was excellent. The food was outstanding for all five different tastes. Not a single thing wrong. Beautiful art and food. Service was prompt and the beauty of the presentation was phenomenal. Priced right, no hesitation to recommend it 110%.

We went to this cafe on the recommendation of a friend, and were really glad we did! It has a very European feel (we have been to Europe many times) and is quite comfortable (with weird, and therefore interesting, pictures on the walls). We had breakfast (excellent eggs, not overcooked), plus toast (good bread) and a side of goat cheese... More

This is one of those places you don't need a reason to go back to, or make room in your schedule to do so. We descended on them at opening time for breakfast with a party of 9 adults and 5 children. The adults sat at the long table and the kids had their table adjacent to ours. The staff... More

Really loved this place. The food was amazing and is all fresh and yummy. I dined alone and felt fine doing so. The food really was excellent and the drinks also. I had the ginger lemonade which was great and the lamb stew. Recomme Recommend both. The service was great too!

There are two parts to my review: the food (great) and the customer experience (needs improvement.) Food - The owners are German and Czech, and they offer outstanding European-inspired food. I started my meal with a lilikoi (passion fruit)/rum drink. This drink was one of the best I have ever had. My party skipped the pupus (appetizers) and ordered a... More
