Some locals recommended Pono market for good spam musubi. But we ended up getting laulau as well which was good, the only problem is they don't have seating area so you have to take it to go. Overall we enjoyed it.

My wife and I stopped by here on our way to Kalalau Trail. Wanted to pick up some picnic food to eat during our hike. We knew we came to the right place when we saw the long line of locals in line. We got a few musubis along with bentos and they were delicious!

he best Kalua pork, Lau Lau here! During our 4 day stay, we went there twice. It's very reasonable price for such delicious food. First day, we went there around 2pm and Lau Lau was already sold out. They said it was sold out at noon that day (within 2 hours after opening). And that was Thursday. They also have... More

Let me start by saying I love ... love Hawaiian food (plate lunch and poke make me happy). Usually I have to get my fill in Vegas, but an impromptu trip to Hawai'i this summer happened. As they say, when in Rome ... We stopped by Pono Market for lunch our second day in Kauai after kayaking down the Wailua... More

If you want to try some "real" Hawaiian food this is the spot. Doesn't look like much but that's the idea. We took our plate lunches and walked to the beach and ate there.

We came here three times when we visited Kauai. This was our first and last meal in the island. They have really good choices and the food is so authentic. It also helps that the prices here are affordable. My husband loved all the fresh fish that they served.

This place is amazing. Their lunch menu is big and affordable. The owners/staff are wonderful people. Try the Poke,I lived on that for a week. Get there early around eleven or it will all be gone they make limited quantity. A must if you like fish.

Best Poke on Kauai and better than any I had on Oahu. Personally I like spicy poke and theirs is not to be missed. Do not just try one kind though, all three ahi poke varieties were fresh, succulent melt-in-your mouth good. If you're looking for something "local" this was the most local experience we had in Hawaii, they'll recognize... More
