Great poke and friendly service!

This place was our first "local fare" meal. Tasty poke for a great price. We sat at a table on the sidewalk and enjoyed the people watching.

Had a tuna poke bowl one day, some of their rice rolls another day. All of high quality and quite tasty. I recommend the rice rolls for picnic as they keep. The people are very friendly. When we were there they were giving away (!) starfruit. The food is nothing spectacular, but on a tourist island it is easy to... More

While on the island of Kauai I was craving tuna poke. I asked my friends where I could find some GOOD tuna poke. This was the only place they suggested. Pono Market looks like it is family run and is pretty much a take out kind of place. There is limited seating inside and outside. The tuna was fresh and... More

We go here whenever we are on island for the sesame ahi poke. They also have an excellent seaweed salad. It is pretty much just takeout although they have a few tables out front. Grab some poke and drive down the street to the beach and enjoy.

I found the food tasteless. Tried poke. Got much more rice than fish. Blunt taste. Poke is much better in food mart. Don't go unless you have no other choice.

We went there for lunch around 1:00 and all the plate lunches were gone! They had already stopped service. The only thing left was some poke. We did order a couple of poke bowls but the poke was just okay. Had better. Wish we had the chance to try the plate lunches. Hope to be able to review the food... More

Our concierge recommended this place for some authentic 'Hawaiian food' and we were not disappointed. Don't be fooled by the dull, rundown look of this place. The interior is not much better, but wow the food was super good. We ordered a selection of different tastings... some sushi for my daughter, also tried the spicy Ahi Poke, since this is... More

The shop looks unassuming, but has great take out food. Great for taking to the beach. People there are nice and helpful. Prices are fair. We loved their chicken and masubi Lots of things imported from Japan.

Order the Spicy Ahi Poke. Best poke on the island. Best meal on the island. We even came back to ask questions of their ingredients and they were very forthcoming. In fact I tried their ingredients out last night on my own. Mine was good, but not like Pono Market.

The whole place is maybe 10-15 feet deep with an aisle in the middle. A separate coffee counter is on the right and the food is on the left. No inside seating and hardly any outside seating. Eat standing up or take it to you car or something. We must have gotten there late as the food selection was sparse.... More
