Great for lunch and coffee

You know you hit a great place when the majority of customers are locals. The coffee shop and the lunch takeout are owned by brothers. The staff is very friendly and patient with the tourists. I ordered the lau lau chicken. Very tasty. Had the apple manju which had the flakiest and light crust. It... read more

Loved my meal here! We stopped it around 11:45am, just as the lunch rush was starting to hit. The poke was fresh and very reasonably priced. The folks working behind the counter were very friendly and welcoming to visitors who needed time and assistance to order. I ended up asking for a combination that wasn't on their menu but the... A small market with friendly staff and amazing ahi poke!! I loved the spicy and sesame ahi poke bowls; the amount was quite generous for only $7. The flavors were some of the best I ever tried!

We loved our stop here at Poni Market. Wish we would have stopped earlier in our stay because we would have been there more then once! Food was exceptional and the people working were so nice and helpful. Not knowing what everything was, they took the time to explain and did not seem put out at all! They made us... More

Pono Market - what a great little eatery. They had what others had but quality was better and while hospitality on Kauai was lovely, the folks behind the counter were exceptional. We didn't feel silly asking the same old questions that i'm sure they get all the time. We had the pork laulau, chicken laulau and musudi as take out.... More

This place was our first "local fare" meal. Tasty poke for a great price. We sat at a table on the sidewalk and enjoyed the people watching.

Had a tuna poke bowl one day, some of their rice rolls another day. All of high quality and quite tasty. I recommend the rice rolls for picnic as they keep. The people are very friendly. When we were there they were giving away (!) starfruit. The food is nothing spectacular, but on a tourist island it is easy to... More

While on the island of Kauai I was craving tuna poke. I asked my friends where I could find some GOOD tuna poke. This was the only place they suggested. Pono Market looks like it is family run and is pretty much a take out kind of place. There is limited seating inside and outside. The tuna was fresh and... More

We go here whenever we are on island for the sesame ahi poke. They also have an excellent seaweed salad. It is pretty much just takeout although they have a few tables out front. Grab some poke and drive down the street to the beach and enjoy.
