Ops dinner special

My family went to the Hukilau Lanai for dinner and the special was a Mac Crusted Opa on mashed Red Skin Patotoes. I must say it was by far the best Opa I have had in my 53 years. Drinks were great and service was superb!!!

As the name implies, this is a lanai. So it was not the best place to be on a cold, windy rainy night like we were there. they had roll-down curtains but it was still windy. We had to eat with coats on. BTW, they have blankets available. We love Hebi (a local swordfish-like fish) and this was possibly the... More

I do NOT recommend this place at all, unless you are very rich and have open credit limit! The food was good, but extremely small portions! I am a very light eater, but I left there still hungry and went to my condo to eat again! Shame on you, Hukilau!

My family and extended family frequent this wonderful restaurant as often as we can. Any reason is a great reason to dine here. Fabulous Food, and exquisite service is nearly always guaranteed! From the prime rib, to the crusted fish, to Wally's salad... Simply Stunning!

Our favorite time share is where the Hukilau Lanai restaurant is located so when we are there we eat at that restaurant several times a week and never tire of the selection of food! The waiters are excellent, the prices reasonable for the quality of service and good however, not cheap!!!

Four of us went to this beautiful venue. Seating was under the open roof veranda with a view of the hotel grounds. Live entertainment is provided. The wine list is limited in the by the drink category, but the selections we tried were excellent. Good cocktails (the Mai tais second only to Gaylords). The food was outstanding. The arugula salad... More

We would have never found or chosen this restaurant if it had not been recommended by a friend (since it is situated in a hotel). We decided to order several appetizers instead of entrees because we couldn't decide on just a couple. Everyone in the group was pleased with almost everything we ordered and with the quantities served.

I agree with some of the other reviewers: The Hukilau Lanai is the best restaurant in Kapaa. From start to finish, it's everything you'd want in a nice dinner. Our group of 6 was seated almost right away even though the Hukilau Lanai is always busy. The server was at our table within a few short minutes. I was particularly... More

Nice Romantic place to eat. Had the Martini which was a bit weak. Starters had the soup of the day and Gazpacho Soup. My wife had the Opaa (Hawaiian Moon Fish). She liked it a lot. I had the Beef Medallion with Pepper Corn. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked medium. The waitress was attentive and could describe the... More
