We stopped at this charming restaurant/bar during our visit to Kauai. Conveniently situated on the main street. We had a very good salad. Service was quick, food good & ambience great. They have their own free range cockerel that could well sit next to you for lunch.

Arrived during happy hour (2-6) so ordered draft beers for $3.50. Only three on tap - a local blonde, blue moon Hefeweizen and a San Francisco IPA. We ordered the happy hour calamari - it was presented with an interesting aoli and was very tasty. A person could order it as their entree and have enough food ( it was... More

Drinks are good, food is ok (ask for the specials) and the place is just funny. Funny guests, funny music performances and a funny czech bartender. Worth a visit! Just one thing: Please clean the tables, they were a bit too sticky.

Eastside café is located in the heart of Kapaa. It offers interesting dishes and the location allows you to see the action on the street. At night there is live entertainment.

Not every place is open on Sundays in Kapa'a, but Eastside cafe is. The special was Huli-Huli chicken and it was fabulous. They also have a very inventive cocktail list beyond mai-tai and blue hawaiian. The Prince Julep is my new favorite drink even after we got back to the mainland. Actually most of Kapa'a seemed to cater to foodies.... More

We went to celebrate a birthday and the place was under par from what we expected. We heard good things but the place was dark (needed more lighting) and the food wasn't that great either. Everyone dislikes their food except for a whole chicken that I ordered. I thought it was too greasy but the guys seemed to love it... More

We stopped in here on our way back to Poipu from the North Shore. Traffic was horrible and we thought we'd take a break from it for a while. This restaurant had been given an Ono review in the Kauai Revealed book so we thought it was worth a shot. The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired, but the... More

This unprepossessing restaurant boasts an appealing menu and wine list and a terrific chef. We had a great salad with beets and the snapper special, both of which were fantastic. The service was great, the prices were very reasonable, and they could not have been more accomodating about substitutions and plate sharing. They even plated our entrees separately when we... More

Music nightly, quality food, and friendly, good service. What else can you ask for, especially when combined with a convenient location in Kapaa. Priced fairly, we enjoyed food and music, in this laid back, casual place
