I had the pork belly steamed buns, which were more like hum bao tacos (or deconstructed hum bao). Delicious! My husband had the ribeye nachos from the specials board and thought they were very good but a little pricey for the serving size. Service is friendly and the location is convenient. Just one visit there during this trip, but I'd... More

From the day we arrived on kauai two months ago, the Eastside has been the place to be!!! The owner is friendly and the staff is amazing. With knowledgeable , lively staff who all are always smiling, this is the place to go when needing a great place to go. Great happy hour prices with $2.50 draft beers, the cheapest... More

Having reviewed the menu, which seemed a little pricey, we decided to sample the appetizers before ordering entrees. This was a good move which saved us from a more expensive mistake. We ordered the pupu tray (panko-crusted shrimp, filled wontons, teriyaki wings & fries), calamari and brie with fruit. The fries were the best thing in this assortment. The others... More

The two guitarists greeted us with happy tunes ranging from Johnny Cash to Jimmy Buffet. It was soon disrupted by "Mr. V's" spoon accompaniment that was painful to watch and hear. My wife swore her tangerine martini was Sunny D. My Mai tai was good with little vodka to speak of. The garlic bread appetizer was dreadful. Small bread loaf,... More

The menu was so unique. My husband is a restaurant snob because he used to cook professionally but he very much liked the meal and the sauces. The dynamite crusted Ono was delicious, I had the spicy shrimp skewer (yum) and mumsy had the kauai Kordon Blue. All entrees were shared and enjoyed. If you are looking for a restaurant... More

My family ate here for lunch this week. The owner was present to entice us inside. He seemed very friendly. The menu was very limited. My daughter ordered the hamburger. It arrived 20 minutes after the rest of us had completely eaten and the plates removed. The meat was still raw in the middle. Needless to say she did not... More

My husband had the huli huli chicken and I had the seared mahi. The chicken was crazy good my fish perfectly prepared. Moist and flaky mahi is not always easy to do. Finished with the apple volcano. I would go back. Only four stars atmosphere just okay. Service great.

We ordered the pork off the menu and the blackened ahi special. Each dish was around $35. The pork was so overcooked that we could only eat a very small piece. The tuna was also overcooked. The vegetables that came with the dishes were ok but unimaginative. The service started well but when we told her that the pork was... More

Last year my husband first visited this cafe...it was so good we went back again this year. It is open air, casual. They have the best cocktails and very good food. Service is good and at nice they have music. Try it you will like it!
