Try them out at happy hour

The Eastside is so easy to walk past and you really should go in. Really good wine list, food is remarkable. Try it at happy hour for ridiculously good prices and equally good pours. Crisp cold white wines, robust reds and frosty beers; love it. The Happy hour pupu menu will have you sampling... read more

If you decide to patron The Eastside, just know that your server is getting paid 0$ an hour and doesn't even get to see the tips after a shift. This is tax evasion and I'm turning them in.

If I had not been told to come here I would have walked right by. Decor is less than exciting but the food is outstanding. We had the Poke appetizer which was truly delicious. For the main we had the fish and chips. The chips are purple yam chips, not fries, which were good but the fish was outstanding. The... More

I'm finally getting around to reviewing some of our favorite places from a July return to magical Kauai. The Eastside was a wonderful experience, not because of the food (which was o.k., but not great), but because of the ambience and the live music. We went quite late (after 9 PM, I recall), and the restaurant was almost empty. My... More

Stopped here after hiking for 3 days, so I'm sure anything would have tasted good. The portions were enormous, food was quite good, a little pricey (but that's Hawaii). The place is kind of like a fancy pub.

Friendly bar and restaurant in the center of Kapa'a -- excellent food, relaxing atmosphere -- plenty of parking the rear -- and live music on most nights!

The owner/chef even made a special low carb dish to meet the needs of one person in our party. The local, island-made mustard is terrific!

My husband and I visited this restaurant recently on a recommendation from an acquaintance. My hamburger, which I ordered MW was blood red, literally soaking the bun red! Sent it back as I had cut the bun and meat in half. Brought it back cooked as ordered. Ordered a brie cheese sauce for the fries, which we had to ask... More

We stopped at the Eastside twice during our recent stay on Kauai. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Each time the food was very good, the service was great (you are on Kauai, so nothing is very fast anyway), but the guys there were very nice and pleasant. Prices were average, not too expensive, and the portions were of... More
