I was so excited to take my friend here because it was always one of my favorite "go to" places. I've been going to Kapaa since 1990 and have had dinner every time, sometimes twice, at the Eastside since it opened. But i have to tell you this is the 1st time i was disappointed. New Owners had just taken... More

Even though I didn't eat here thought a would comment on the experience my family had and the left overs we did have. The family loved the atmosphere and their whole dining experience. They thought it was the best meal they have had in a long time and they dine out a great deal. They were able to talk with... More

We stopped in the Eastside, looking for a late dinner and we had a great one. First, the owner came over and greeted us. He's from the Czech republic and finally was able to open his own place on Kauai. I was looking for a burger, and he said he'd make a special one up just for us because it... More

Seated by manager who couldn't tell us what the specials were. He went to find out and didn't come back. Waiter didn't know specials either and took forever to come back with them. He wrote them down (there were only 2) and took 5-10 minutes to come back and read to us what they were. Ordered two glasses of wine... More

This was our last meal before going to airport. We hoped to have a good meal although our eating out experience after over 2 weeks on Kaua'i was very disappointing. The restaurant had only one couple sitting as it was early, when we arrived. It took a couple of minutes before they saw us and we were seated. We found... More

Went here a few years ago and the food was good, but the ambiance needed improvement. Heard that it underwent a remodel and new owner, so we thought maybe it would be better. Wrong, wrong, wrong. The prices are high.....same as many of the top restaurants and resort restaurants on Kauai, yet not justfied at all! First, the remodel was... More

We stumbled on this for my birthday. Ambience is early gas station. Food was wonderful with fresh, local ingredients. Fish was prepared artfully. My favorite discovery was the deep-fried capers on the salad. Who thought of that?? Amazing! Good wine list. Service was OK.

There is nothing about this restaurant that justifies the prices. The ambiance is ordinary, on the road. The service is perfunctory, no sense of welcome or engagement. We had a grilled mahi mahi that was slightly overcooked, on some rice, with some sautéed kale (I think) on it and a green sauce. Adequate at $23, but nothing to justify $34.... More

My wife got The fish and chips and they were fantastic. A wonderfully light and flaky crust on delicious pieces fish. I had the bacon wrapped filet mignon off the specials list... Awesome! And desert is a must. Only one draw back: the live music may have been a little too loud.

The food was really good, the calamari was crispy, and seared ahi was perfectly seared, and the ceasar salad was great. Star of the show was the lilikoi mojito, definitely recommend! There were only 2 servers for a packed night, so we had a very long wait just to order
