GO HERE EVERY DAY

We love the coffee and pastries at this place! It's always one of our first stops. You can also purchase locally grown bagged coffee and some fun gifts. The people watching is great here too.

was here 5 years ago, and enjoyed visiting again. didn't get any food, but saw several of the items that looked super good. got a few baked goods that were good. drinks were ok. coffee wasn't as good as I expected from the hipster, coffee-enthusiast feel of the place. long lines in the morning!

Bar none the best coffee I've ever had. Chocolate Coconut latte. It rocked my world. We also bought a bunch of sweets: chocolate peanut butter brownies, macaroons, choc dipped biscotti, choc peppermint mousse squares. Everything was SUPER yummy. I am so sad that we did not have time to go back and try the smoothies and sandwiches. Next time for... More

I'm reviewing this restaurant from August 2015. This was my second time in Kauai with my wife (took 3 years to go back). We ate breakfast here. They have Wi-Fi here. Ordered Surfer Girl and my wife ordered the Breakfast Burrito. She told me her burrito was dry and completely bland, even with the Mango sauce she ordered on the... More

Great coffee, very friendly and helpful staff, good menu and just a darn good place to go! I've been there twice already and will be back at least one more time before I leave. I love this place!

Wow, just loved this place. Lots of coffee options to suit all types of coffee lovers. Food options are really good too, offering specially sandwiches, bagels, etc above and beyond basic food items. Unless you crave plain, this place won't disappoint. Only this that bums me out is this place isn't closer to my hotel in Poipu. Enjoy, I surely... More

I have eaten here numerous times for brekky. It's pricey, but the muffins are excellent and big and the bagels yummy. I always meet someone new and enjoy their company. It's usually crowded and can be a hassle getting through the line, but worth the wait.

I really enjoyed the vibe of Java Kai. It is a really cute cafe with a lot of food options. The coffee was excellent but the food was sub-par for kauai. We expected more fresh fruit in our smoothies and breakfast bowls. The Breakfast burrito wasn't that good - they were light on the filling and the amount of ingredients.... More

If you are looking for a good coffee shop in Kapa'a, I highly recommend Java Kai. It's a busy, artsy, corner of old Kapa'a close to the walking path. Whether you get you coffee to go or sit down with locals and tourists, you won't be disappointed with the coffee. We also enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches.
