We tried the breakfast burrito and the waffles. Both were excellent. Staff is friendly. Coffee was good. They have regular light and dark roasts. They also have 100% kona coffee available at a substantial premium.

Great way to start a day or stop by for tea. I really like their T-shirts too and often grap a bag of beans to take home. Very relaxed atmosphere with a great cup of joe!

My friends and I absolutely loved it at Java Kai! We ended up going almost every day that we were in Kapaa to enjoy breakfast, smoothies, fresh juices, snacks and yummy coffee. The staff are friendly (and started to recognize us after a while :) and helped make the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a must for any coffee-lovers visiting... More

A staple in Kapa'a for more than a decade, Java Kai has some of the better tasting coffee we have had on the island. We always take a bag home.

Coffee was good, bacon cheese bagel sandwich was dry, but dilly bagel sandi was good. Service to us, being tourists, was rude, but to locals seemed better...

My coffee loving husband just wrote down the website for Java Kai and said he is going to order some coffee from here when we get home. And this from a Starbucks über loyalist! Great menu, good choices for kids too and decent prices. Will be coming back!

Delicious, healthy foods, coffee's, smoothies etc. my wife and I had acai smoothies to accompany our breakfasts. She had a surfer girl and I had a Kailua pork burger.

This is a hopping breakfast spot with a great coffee, smoothie and bakery selection. We made this our after morning walk spot on multiple days. The lunch menu is both healthy and interesting!

Get there as they open the doors for a cinnamon roll hot out of the oven! With the Coconut Mocha and cinnamon roll, you may go into a diabetic coma, but what the heck. Rent a bike up the street and work it off on the bike path along the coast. It's worth it!
