Simple and delish

Java Kai is a great local spot with super fresh offerings. The lox and bagel is excellent if you are looking for something hearty, the fresh granola and berries was so good it tasted like a decadent dessert, and their juices are invigorating. We stopped by Java Kai today after a long hike at the suggestion of a friend living in Kapaa, and well, what an awful experience. We were hoping to order a few savory treats and coffees, and our 2 children requested a bagel with cream cheese. The woman at the counter said she could not serve us a bagel after... More

I have been to Java Kai several times and usually pop in to the shop early in the morning. I can say the coffee is great - fresh and a lot of options depending on how you want it. The pastries are fresh, delicious, a lot to choose from including gluten free options and large enough to be shared. The... More

Great little place for coffee. Although we did not order any pastries or door (B/L) the menu sounds amazing. Coffee is fresh & staff is very friendly.

Go for the coffee, go for the pastries, go for lunch, go for anything. They have a great set up here with delicious house roasted coffee, down to earth staff and delicious food. Can't go wrong and can't go too many times!

The coffee here was good, and the food was pretty tasty for coffee shop food. There was a woman there who I think may have been the owner? She was really, really nice and chatted with me and my kids about the island and about the flowers she was putting into little vases. The place itself is tiny but charming,... More

Got a Maui mocha iced latte and a mango scone. Both very good! The atmosphere is definitely eclectic and local and this place is BUSY. There's not much space inside, so there isn't much time to stand and peruse the menu but the options all look tasty and the service is very friendly!

The place was great, we went there several times on our stay in Kauai, I highly recommend the pulled pork burrito for breakfast with the salsa, it was amazing, you won't find any better place in Kauai! The juices were really nice too!

So yummy! The coffee if delicious. We went almost every morning for coffee. The most delicious coconut muffin too. My husbands favorite spot on the island! Cute shop, right in Kapaa. Highly recommend! So much better than Hanalei coffee roasters! Java Kai was always full of locals!

This cute place attracts a diverse crowd for walk-up-counter service. We went there because we wanted something a little different--bagels, cream cheese, and lox. We enjoyed the food and the excellent coffee sitting at a little table on the sidewalk.
