Service is generally indifferent, but today was a pleasant exception. We've been on the island for four days and this was our third visit to Java Kai. The very friendly woman behind the counter asked if we had punch cards and when I told her we didn't even know they had punch cards, she gave them to us (there is... More

This has been our go to breakfast spot on both trips to kauai this year. The coffee is done right, the ice coffee is the best on the island, and I try iced coffee everywhere I go. Service is friendly, decor is appropriately fun and funky, and menu is all good. I have had the Acai bowl, the beetnick, the... More

Super good food, super good coffee, and just a cool place to sit and watch people (if you're lucky enough to get the tables by the window). This is one of the places we went back to twice on the same trip.

Rotating Artist's exhibits (Aloha Meg!), real cool vibe. Great Hawaii coffee that you will not find everywhere. Just say no to starburnts and realize what great coffee tastes like. Kona, Molokai, and my fave...Maui Red are just some of their offerings.

Had our first morning coffee on the island at Java Kai. Love the funky island vibe, friendly staff and locals. Great cup of Kona to start the day

We had coffee here every morning, the service was great. The prices may be a little high but it is Hawaii. I would recommend going to this place.

We made a special trip back for the pineapple coconut muffins and Blue Hawaiian smoothies! Loved the Acai bowl and great coffee. We didn't find Java Kai until our last day, but would've gone back every day. It's in the middle of Kapa'a town - the baked goods were far better than Passion Bakery.

I got an Maui mocha...great flavor! With real chocolate instead of just a chocolate flavor like alot of coffee shops do. It was a tad more money than some of the other coffee shops I went to but it was worth it! Kauai coffee plantation about 20 mins away is also a stop for coffee lovers. I didnt try any... More
