I got an Maui mocha...great flavor! With real chocolate instead of just a chocolate flavor like alot of coffee shops do. It was a tad more money than some of the other coffee shops I went to but it was worth it! Kauai coffee plantation about 20 mins away is also a stop for coffee lovers. I didnt try any... More

Small menu, but everything was delicious. The coffee was the best we've had after 2 weeks in Hawaii. The bagel was very nice (we had the surfer girl). The granola was also really good. 5 out of 5.

This local treasure serves excellent coffee, decent breakfast and excellent atmosphere. The tine establishment was always busy and a steady stream of coffee drinkers, smoothie shakers and occasional nibblers. I have had there coffee, there breakfast and a smoothie and both drinks rated a 5 out of 5 while the breakfast was a 3.5 of 5 which is why my... More

Really cute little shop. We were on the island for 3 mornings and I usually never go to a restaurant twice as I like to explore but we ended up going here twice. Inside they sell t-shirts and they also have local artists on sale for display, makes it really interesting. The muffins are DELICIOUS, and the breakfast sandwiches are... More

This place was a great little place for a lunch stop. The coffee is great and their sandwiches are too. I highly recommend the Ham-Panini, its outstanding! They use organic ingredients, and you can taste the difference! The atmosphere is very casual, feels a bit like a hippie place.

We were searching for Kona coffee and a coconut muffin. Java Kai had both! Both were excellent (but pricey)!

We had an early flight to another island so this was the first coffee we encountered on our way south to Lihue. They are open daily from 6AM-7PM and have every type of coffee drink you could imagine. Try a Red-Eye for a real shot of rocket fuel! They also offer quick breakfasts, lunches, ice cream, smoothies and fresh juices.

The first time I went in was for a coffee and a carrot juice, because I already had lunch at the Mermaid Cafe next door. The carrot juice took a long time, but it was good. The place is relaxing, it serves lunch as well. Friendly service. The second time I went in for my carrot juice fix, I was... More

Java Kai is a great place for breakfast, a destination for visitors as well as somewhat of a local spot for breakfast. I say that it’s somewhat of a locals spot since the cashiers seem readily to recognize some of the people as regulars who clearly go there routinely. My friend on this first trip to Kauai had wanted to... More

I ordered the Mo Feta Betta for breakfast. It was presented beautifully and tasted even better. My favorite breakfast on the island. The staff was friendly and helpful. The shop is small, but decorated cute and it has lots of tables and chairs.
