This place has always piqued my interest on 5 prior trips to Hanalei. This month, I took the plunge and went here with my wife for drinks and dinner. Very old school, nostalgic tiki bar and cool that it was featured in a number of motion pictures. Not cool that it is so dark you can't see the cockroaches scampering... More

After having read reviews for other luaus in Kauai, I am so happy we found this one. Tahiti Nui Luau is a family/community run luau. You get a real feeling for the island and the Hawaiian culture without all the "Disney" style show. We enjoyed the Mai-Tai's and a delicious buffet dinner. They even took us outside to see the... We went to see our new Tahitian friends, Formerz Ana' perform and were pleasantly surprised with the friendly, warm, atmosphere overall of Tahiti Nui's. I must say that their Fruit Punch with Kettle One is not bad either! It felt like family.

Went to try the MaiTai and it was fabulous. Unfortunately that night they were out of everything from French Fries (who runs out of french fries) to Steak. My son ordered a hamburger and they put a small mound of potato chip (that looked like they came from the bottom of the bag) on the plate. After my first 3... More

Okay Hawaii movie fans this place was shown in the Decendents. We ate here and had one of their great pizza's. Yes the wait was long, but worth it. We would definitely say to stop in and have some pizza and beers or mai tai's. This is a bit of a dive place, but so much fun. They have live... More

Kind of a dumpy place, but one of the only places around to have a drink after dinner.. decent live music. That about it!

We were told by our Westin concierge that Tahiti Nui was a must for a stop by and having a Mai Tai. She was absolutely right on. We had one drink before our dinner reservation at another Hanalei restaurant. I was sad we could not stay longer. The Mai Tai was wonderful!!! This and one other place served the only... More

The brick Oven Pizza is fabulous! Also had dinner there one night! Had the Poke fish with Purple sweet potatoes! The staff were so friendly! Only advice is find out how long for the pizza if you are in a hurry. The pizza takes a long time to cook and it is a highly requested menu item! If you are... More

The drinks are great. Best Mai-Tai on our trip… and we had a lot of them on three islands. Beer is good. My daughter really loved Julia's iced tea, said it was the best she's ever had. We only ate a fish sandwich, but it was quite tasty and lots of other people were chowing down and seemed happy. There's... More
