Go for the experience! Funky & interesting.

We wanted to have lunch at an "authentic" Hanalei Bay restaurant and this was definitely full of character. The waitress was very nice, but by herself. The pizza and salads were good - but not amazing. What was worth it is to walk around and look at the 1960's tiki decor and interesting photos... read more

The food & show was great, but it was very hot inside and the drinks were watered down. I understand it's an old Resturant & Bar but for me luau's need to be on the water front

We loved Tahiti Nui. We went 4 times on our month long stay on the North Shore, with kids once and 3 times without. Tahiti Nui is an institution. Yes, they filmed Descendants here and Beau Bridges supposedly stops in all the time. We did not see him. The drinks are fabulous. Check out the lilikoi martini and local beers.... More

Tahiti Nui is known for it's cameo in "The Descendents," but it really is a fun bar/restaurant on its own. A live band played a Hawaiian twist on 70s music (local version of Sweet Caroline got the crowd singing along), and the food and drinks were very good. And of course, Hanalei is a wonderful place to spend an evening.

Even if you come here for beer, wine, or cocktails, you should try their non-alcoholic ice tea drink with lemonade and passion fruit juice. So refreshing! (And I'm sure it would also be delicious with a little bit of rum in it...) The food itself is a little bit too expensive for what you get. It's not bad, just not... More

Excellent Mai Tai's. Great atmosphere and drinks. More of a bar than a restaurant though - best to go to after having dinner elsewhere.

Tahiti Nui's had been recently made famous from the George Clooney film "The Decendants". This Tahitian small bamboo shack is a rocking place in the Hanalei area.  The pizza is really tasty! We enjoyed a great performance of a Hawaiian singer, while his wife hula-danced.  They have the BEST Mai Tais I have ever tasted!!! Wednesday nights they have luaus.... More

Went for Luau with my wife and daughter, was greetes with all you can drink Mai Tais at 5p. Lasted until 6p. Entertained by authentic Pacific Islander music, not just Hawaiian. The earth oven, imu, pig was a treat for our daughter to see. Felt like being in a neighbors backyard. The show was great, with traditional dances from Tahiti,... More

This was our third meal at this restaurant. We were part of a huge party of 20+ and were seated out back on a long table. This couldn't be helped as the main restaurant out front couldn't cater for such a big group. Because of this we were away from the music and the fantastic atmosphere of the main bar/restaurant....
