The New Tahiti Nui is really what they should call it. I think its been about 10 years or so, back when I lived on the North Shore. Then, "the Nui" was just a hard drinking, dark, and a bit foreboding for a lot of visitors. No more, the Nui has moved into the 21st century...great food, lots of laughs... More

This place was a wonderful experience for us. Having the time to share with Julia (the shorter) was a treat. Being that The Decendents was filmed there was our draw. Once we talked and shared with Julia, it became a real Hawaiian treasure to remember. We will always cherish our time with Julia and all her love of the island... More

We ate in the same restaurant 2 nights in a row, which we have never done anywhere in the world. First night food and music were slightly better but overall a consistently good place with a great chill Hawaii beach vibe. Had no idea this restaurant was in any movie with George clooney until I sat to write this review... More

Last night we had drinks and pizza at the Nui. Although there was a bit of a wait but the live music and atmosphere made the time pass very quickly. Our pizza and salads were delicious. If you're a pizza crust connoisseur like a few in my group you will be not be disappointed! Our server was prompt and friendly,... More

We just happened to stop here on a whim and we surprised by the old school charm. We ate a wonderful Wahoo fish sandwich and were treated to classic Hawaiian music. There were local hula dancers and ukulele players from the ukulele school and they were great. Glad we stopped the food was good and the service was great.

Ate lunch today at Tahiti Nui, made famous in the movie "The Descendants" with George Clooney. What a disappointment. I ordered a chicken breast sandwich, and it was marginal, at best. It was served with potato chips instead of the anticipated french fries. Boring. Others in my tour group were equally as unimpressed with the food. And the staff wasn't... More

Its a dive. Its a small, divey place with very local service. If that sounds like a negative review, you probably shouldn't go there, and head back to Princeville. If that interests you ... I'll say the mac-crusted Onho was the best I had on the island, and the Mai Tai's live up to their reputation.

Average lunch experience. Kalua pig sandwich (actually a bun) was just ok. Under staffed meant for slow service. No aloha spirit.

Nothing to dislike about this little tiki bar. We had the pulled pork sandwitch, was moist, tender, and came with a generous portion of fries. Will go back again.

This is a fun place for drinks and dinner. The bar has a lot of history and is family owned. The entertainment was very nice.
