Our family ate here in July 2014 and were seated with another family at our table. I thought it would be a stretch to bring my two teenage daughters but apparently they like kale. It was a roll of the dice but it worked brilliantly. Courses were kale, then a poke style fish, another salad, pork rib and pulled pork,... More

My wife and I decided a year ago to get married in Poipu during July 2014. Looking around for a gourmet food truck to serve 85 guests on the beach after our wedding ceremony, we discovered Kauai Ono. We let Justin pick the menu based on what was local and fresh and were not disappointed. The food was incredible!!! Our... More

We enjoyed this unique opportunity to taste the local flavors of Kauai prepared by an expert chef. The favorite of our group was the butterfish, beautifully prepared with a rich and unique flavor that was highlighted by the preparation. The Mo-chi desert was a bit of a disappointment after reading the rave reviews of the chocolate lava cake, but that... More

We dined at Kauai Ono in early July during a week in Hanalei. Be sure to make reservations at least a few weeks ahead of your stay, either via Yelp or Open Table, since the max seating under the tent is 32 and Kauai Ono is only 'open' two nights a week. Location is in an open field just east... More

Kauai Ono is a different dinig experience. The gourmet food is prepared in a Food Truck setting, actually a custom made stainless trailer. Meals are only twice a week, and reservations go fill fast, so keep an eye on the internet to be sure you get in. It was a 5 course gournet meal, using only local ingrediants fwithin a... More

A great way to taste the best of farm to table Kauai. Food is unique and thoughtfully prepared. You eat at picnic tables and BYOB. This once per week venue is a dining experience not to be missed.

I loved this place, but it's as much about the atmosphere and your fellow diners as it is about the food. The food is lovely, but the night we were there it seemed each course was the same ingredient reimagined. This isn't to say we won't go again. It was a great time. I usually hate a communal table, but... More

You might call this "event" dining, as opposed to fine dining. Nice to be outdoors (unique), at a common table (unique) and served local cuisine (which can be very unique) by very nice people. But the weather is hit and miss, your table mates variable, and the courses range from delicious to, from this reviewer's perspective, almost inedible (but expertly... More

Our experience echoes the majority of the reviews. This is food truck dining on a different level. It was well prepared and the service was excellent. Make sure you bring your own beverage of choice (INCLUDING ICE). The local liquor store is literally next door if you forget. Make your reservation early in advance.

We have been coming to the Princeville/Hanalei area yearly since 1997. We noticed a new restaurant on the scene this year, Kauai Ono 560 and it was rated #1 on Trip Advisor. So, we were excited to try it out. It was WONDERFUL! As advertised, you sit under a beautiful tent, BYOB, and enjoy 5 terrific courses. All the food... More
