Wonderful Food - Locally Sourced!

We had amazing food here - the best we had on Kauai. Very healthy and flavourful. The starter was ono in an escabiche format cured with pomelo and added cocoanut milk - my favourite course. Then we had butterfish with kale - yum! The salad was also good. Then we had braised short rib with lemon... read more

Our last meal in Kauai was at this restaurant. The staff were lovely, and our fellow diners amicable - the atmosphere was terrific (although a fair amount of road noise). I did not think the majority of the food was very good, as much as I wanted to enjoy and appreciate the experience. The prawn was very flavorful, though! I... More

My wife and I recently had dinner here and loved it. You're seating communally under a tent in a field at picnic tables. It's 5 courses sourced from local ingredients, and its BYOB. The good was delicious and the price of $60 per person was great. Only issue are the bugs, so bring bug spray!!!!

There are things the website and emails confirming reservations should tell you. There are no non meat options for those who don't eat boar which was in two of the 5 course dishes. The salads were good with butter fish on one of them but not really remarkable. Dessert was a disappointment.. It was chocolate decadence cake but was cold... More

Started with a large deep water shrimp (head on) from the area near Niihau, with a honey lime sauce. Then on to local kale with Walu ( butterfish). A delightful salad with a vanilla-vinaigrette dressing. Roast local pork with Carmelized onions. Dessert was Mochi (gluten-free). This small plates dinner was served by a very attentive young lady, Leigh, who we... More

Our favorite gourmet dinner in Princeville is under a big white tent, in a grassy field, meeting people from around the world at a common dinner table! This was our second dinner with Kauai Ono who consistently delivered a wonderful 5 course food experience from local food sources, friendly and informative service and great conversations with table mates from around... My husband and I enjoyed the food very much - we hadn't tried marlin before but will look out for it now, that was our favourite. I liked that it was a surprise menu as not experienced that before. We were sitting at a table with other honeymooners and most people were happily swapping advice on other honeymoon outings over... More

What a vert unique way to sample some of the freshest food on the island of Kauai. Yes, you sit under the white tent, at picnic tables. You can meet people from all over the world and from the city next door. The food items are awesome, portions are rather small, but taste fantastic. Enjoy your own wine or other... More

We dined at Kauai Ono last week and had an amazing experience. We enjoyed getting to know the people seated on either side of us - that's part of the fun. It was nice being surprised by each of the 5 courses and not knowing what was coming next. Each course was amazing - we had a butterfish appetiser that... More

Foodies this is your must go to Kaua'i dinner spot. It's so unique and so tasty that it's worth every dollar for this amazing Garden Island experience. The chef shows his Michelin starred restaurant expertise in each dish he prepares in this rustic under the tent and stars experience. Kauai Traveler magazine is featuring Kauai ONO 560 as one of...
