Great pancakes!!

My sis and I visited on the recommendation of her friend and the Kauai Revealed Book and App (which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!) We both ordered the Banana, Coconut and Macadamia pancakes with bacon, they were WONDERFUL but they only had plain syrup to put on the pancakes, flavored syrup would have been... read more

We ordered four items from the bakery section, and all were very good. My favorite were the turnovers, with a crust so flaky that crumbs fell with every bite. The apple crumble had an unusual, delicious crust. It was sweet enough for the sugar-holic. The Hawaiian version of banana bread seems to be more sweet bread than banana bread, as... More

This was the second time we have eaten here. The first time was probably ten years ago and we all remembered the desserts. Since we had eaten our main meal elsewhere we went there for desserts. Two got the apple cobbler, one got a large macadamian cookie and I got the vanilla haupia. All incredible. We agreed we would come... More

After seeing some good reviews about their food, we decided to stop in for some coconut macadamia pancakes. They were indeed delicious. Unfortunately, the cashier/order taker was MOST unfriendly, as also stated in other reviews. She must have taken orders for at least 10 other customers while we sat there and didn't crack a smile once. I truly felt like... More

A wonderful place for lunch if you like teriyaki , loco moco and spam. It's counter service and the lady is a delight. Try the donuts.

Don't let the looks of this place stop you. The haupia pie is DELISH! (haupia is coconut) The pie has a shortbread crust topped with a haupia pudding and whipped cream. We have to stop here every visit to Kauai for a slice of their haupie pie. Tried the malasadas, but prefer the malasada booth outside of KMart. Prices are... More

Altough the service might be slow at times, I like stopping by here when I'm at Ching Young's Village. The chili peppered chicken is my favorite. I've also tried the BBQ combo and it's quite good. It comes with thin slices of beef, 2 pieces of chili peppered chicken, and a piece of spam with a scoop of rice and... More

Not much to look at, but the baked goods are excellent. We ended up ordering and picking up a dozen malasadas to take back to the condo. Our friends liked them so much, the ordered more 3 days later!

A local resident recommended this restaurant for a decent breakfast at reasonable prices. That actually is a very accurate description for it. Don't expect anything as far as atmosphere. We split a "tall" stack of blueberry pancakes (3) with bacon on the side. The bacon was lean and properly cooked but cost about the same as most other places. The... More

Good plate lunch place too - chili pepper chicken is the best option on the plate lunch, but save room for dessert! The chocolate haupia pie is great - if you're around for a few days, or have enough foresight to plan ahead, order a whole haupia pie the day before (you generally have to pre-order, or be there first...
