3 words: chocolate haupia pie

Good plate lunch place too - chili pepper chicken is the best option on the plate lunch, but save room for dessert! The chocolate haupia pie is great - if you're around for a few days, or have enough foresight to plan ahead, order a whole haupia pie the day before (you generally have to pre-order... read more

Ok for a quick lunch stop. Coconut cream pie was 3 out of 4. Hamburger was ok but Bubbas is better but you have to wait in line. Not much atmosphere but inside seems clean.

Have eaten a variety of items from this restaurant in the past- breakfast, pies, banana nut bread. All good. Tried the cornflake cookie on this past visit after if was recommended to us by a new acquaintance .... Surprisingly Excellent! Must try if you are a salty-sweet enthusiast.

Really nice people and good food too. The apple turnovers, macadamia nut pancakes and the made to order omelets were all very good. Not a place to go for atmosphere

Stopped in and ordered a dozen malasadas for pick up the next day on our way back to the mainland. They were very tasty! Service was quick and friendly, and there were several locals in there. Always a good sign.

The restaurant reminded me of a deli, waiting in line to order from a large, wall menu. I had the tuna salad sandwich, that I must confess was nothing to write home about. However, my husband tried the chili peppa chicken and it was amazing! I was totally jealous of his lunch! I can't speak for much of the other... More

The famous Chili Peppa Chicken is to die for. Seriously. I’m not all that into fried chicken, but this is delectable. The sauce is just right, and it’s perfect with the rice. Oh I’m drooling just thinking about it. Also try absolutely anything from the bakery display, and you won’t be disappointed.

We went here on a rainy day to try the chile chicken which was highly recommended by others. However our experience was not good at all. The service was not friendly at all (which we could have still accepted if it were very crowded but it wasn't). The food was oily, smelled weirdly and didn't taste any different than what... More

The fried chicken was recommended by more than one local (they call it the Snack Shop), so my husband and I each ordered one - he with green salad and I with macaroni salad. The service was quick and the food very good. Chicken was moist and flavorful throughout. We ate outside in the courtyard and enjoyed people-watching. Just a... More
