A Very Good Restaurant Experience

We had been staying here all week and I finally got tired of going out to eat so opted to try the hotel restaurant. It was better than I expected and we both like our dishes. The Macnut crusted Mahi was very good and my wife devoured her seafood pasta. Then we ordered their mud pie for dessert and it... More

The dining was okay, but the service was extremely slow...and it was most likely due to a shortage of waiters and waitresses....the restaurant was often busy with numerous hotel guests.. but you had to be prepared for a long wait to get your food...and $18 pancakes for breakfast seemed wildly exorbitant!!!.. even knowing that all restaurant food in Hawaii is... Food is good. Breakfast buffet gets crowded and a bit pricey. There is a dinner buffet of Fridays but make a reservation just in case. For buffets, kids five and under eat free. Seafood chowder is pretty good. The crab legs at the dinner buffet is what everyone goes for. Service is phenomenal.

This is a more typical hotel restaurant, I think lacking in a bit if character and as we are close to the end of our two week holiday, we are able to compare it against lots of other places we have visited. The deal is $24 dollars for a whole lobster, with side dishes $4 each and the choice when... More

I didn't have the pleasure of staying at the Marriott Waikoloa Resort, but I did have brunch the morning of Aug 3 poolside. It was our last day in Hawaii before returning home to the mainland after a fantastic fun filled 12 days; we were hopeful of sharing a quiet morning with numerous friends and family that were staying in... My wife got food poisoning here. She ate lobster. Service was marginal and the restaurant was only about 10% full.

If you are checking out this place for BREAKFAST, I would say GO FOR IT. The buffet and the menu items were all great. If you are thinking of dining here for dinner I would say, it's okay, but your probably better off spending your money at Roy's or Tommy Bahamas to get a better dining experience for the same... My boyfriend and I ate at the breakfast buffet here one morning and had no complaints. The service was good, and the food was great. We did however, go to the bar about 4 times during our stay here. Every time was the same experience no matter what time we went. The bartenders seemed overwhelmed and they were not able... More
