pretty average with high price tags

this place is quite pricy. if the quality comes with it, I am fine, but unfortunately it is not. the drinks are average and food are lower than average. we tried the dinner buffet, and again it was below average with $$45/person.

My boyfriend and I opted for the prime rib and seafood buffet for our 3 year anniversary dinner. At $35 per person for Kama'aina, it's a great deal. That being said, from the time the hostess showed us to our table, to the time we were searching for someone to give our money to, we never saw our "server". We... More

We spent our last evening at the hotel and had a delicious meal and a table with an excellent view of the sunset. The food was good and presented very well. However, there was a stray cat wondering around and would sit and beg for food. Our waitress did make it leave, but I certainly did not enjoy that aspect... More

Friday night crab leg buffet was great. (Wait for the new legs to be put out to get the biggest ones!) The surf and turf was okay. The Paniolo prix fixe menu was delicious!

I finally found the closest thing to Hula pie on the Big Island at the Marriott resort in Waikoloa, HI, their restaurant, Hawaii Calls. It was so delicious, made with layer of Kona coffee ice cream & layer of vanilla ice cream piled high drizzled with hot fudge & hot caramel & whipped cream. Price was a little high, $10... More

The 4 star designation is strictly for the breakfast buffet which is all we purchased. It was $20.00 per person but there were ample choices of both hot and cold foods suitable for any palate. Cold cuts and cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables, Eggs of any style, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, cereals, juices, yogurt, etc. were all readily available. Helene,... More

We had the breakfast buffet every day we were there as it was included but it was so good I would have eaten there anyway. The open view is wonderful and you have a choice of seating....under the roof, slightly out and further out. You can see the pool area, the ocean, and the garden areas.

We stayed at the hotel for 1 week and ate breakfast there every day along with eating lunch there one day. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet is Very Good. The cost is around $29 per person, so if you are staying at the hotel I recommend you book a room rate that includes breakfast. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone:... More

We had breakfast there 4 mornings. One where the waitress was slow and a food attendant was rude, but the rest of the time the staff was great. The food was very good, certainly above average for a buffet.

My wife and I ate here on a Monday evening when the food is advertised at 50 per cent off regular prices. Thank goodness! It still was expensive but more at the prices you would expect to pay at a place like this. The prime rib and chicken were excellent. The atmosphere outside overlooking the pool, palm trees and setting... More
