I can remember eating at Merriman's Mediterranean Café 5 years ago and enjoying a lovely lunch. This time, the table was sticky, the floor was sticky and the food and service average. The server told us the restaurant was closing. Try Merriman's upscale restaurant in Waimea for a much nicer experience.

We selected this restaurant based on their menu and other Trip Advisor reviewers. Unfortunately it appeared to be out of business. We asked at another business and they confirmed that this restaurant was closed

This is local food at its best. Atmosphere is great too. Best place to eat on the island, ocean view does not equal good food. People are friendly and glad to have you. This makes my "every time I'm in Hawaii" list.

Nice outdoor dining, good humus, the Caprese salad was nice. Food prepared well, nice bar selection and attentive wait staff. Would return!

We had a wonderful lunch here before heading off to airport. Great salads, pizza and lemonades. Outdoor seating was great. It's a mall restaurant but the athmosphere is great.

We enjoy trying local restaurants when we travel. The food and service at Merriman's was excellent. We went there twice it was so good. They were very accommodating to our grandchildren.

Merriman's Market Cafe is closing this week-end, Oct. 20-21. It will be a great loss to the Kings' Shopping Center. The shopping center is now filled with high-end stores, Louis Vuitton, Kors, Coach, and the likes (though how 3 stores dedicated to handbags and located within 5 yards of each other will make a profit is puzzling). Roy's restaurant, we... More

I live nearby and occasionally come here for lunch or dinner. I took my two teenage daughters and a friend here for lunch around 2:00. No one was at the greeting desk so I wondered in looking for someone to seat us. There was several employees sitting around talking and ignored us. We finally got seated. The waitress disappeared and... More

We stopped here for a late lunch after golf. Irene was a great waitress. We had the garlic truffle fries and a local Kona brew. Lunch was fish tacos made with fresh Mahi Mahi. Try the white wine mustard seed aioli. Perfect with the fries or on tacos. We'll be back in a couple of days for more.
