This review is mixed for several reasons. The ease of booking a reservation was simple. The atmosphere is lively and definitely not a spot for a quiet romantic dinner. I'm a very picky foodie and don't often eat out for that reason, but Merrimans never disappoints! The food is fresh, local, well plated and delivers the flavor that you'd expect. The service is always great too.

We stopped in for dinner after a long day. We had been to the Merriman's Waimea earlier in the week. We were hoping for the same quality at a "Café" setting. Nope. I think Applebee's does it better. I think they were trying to be more casual, but were letting the quality and service slip too much. The food wasn't... More

We had lunch and drinks here. Loved our drinks, lunch was ok but overpriced. Nothing to write home about but happy hour drinks are a good deal.

Our first clue should have been that there was nothing Mediterranean on the menu except hummus. It was supposed to come with our meal but we never got it so I can't tell you if it was good or not. I can tell you that they served my son an overcooked fish over spaghetti with tomato sauce (that was supposed... More

We enjoyed our meal here. The prices were very reasonable. We ate inside, but as with most places in Hawaii, the windows were open to allow the breeze to come in. I had the pizza and enjoyed it very much!

I've been to the Big Island [my favorite] several times, but it wasn't until my most recent visit that I ate at Merriman's on my last night there. It absolutely stands out as among the very best dining experiences I've had in Hawaii. The location in an outdoor shopping mall, known as The King's Shops, and though the patio is... More

This Is a must if you are staying at the Beach Marriott Resort at Waikoloa on Hawai’i, as it is in the shopping / restaurant area across the road from the resort. We & the couple we were on holiday with, had a meal there every night of our stay & couldn’t fault the food, drink or service with an... More
