Family spot

Nice bar and grill with TV's to watch sports. We enjoyed the women's World Cup games with our kids. During the day had a nice family vibe.

We had a group of three and a great dinner at Roy's. The service was awesome also. A bit noisy yet really fun.

We have eaten here the past 4 years. This year the food was not flavorful. You should make a reservation because it can get packed resulting in a long wait.

One of our chums was on the Big Island for the Half Marathon, so we joined them for supper at Roy Yamaguchi's, one of our favourite restaurants on all the islands. Sweetness started with the Crispy Pork Potstickers served with Spicy Peanut Curry and I with the Spicy Ahi Roll, Bubu Arare and Firecracker Aioli. She had the Teppan-yaki Szechuan... More

I go to Roy's every time I go to Hawaii and it is so memorable. Maybe quality has slipped because I was underwhelmed. AVERAGE food for HIGH price. Will give this a miss next time I'm in Waikoloa (which is about once a year). Also there was a screaming baby there: this is NOT an appropriate place for a baby... More

The food and staff was great. However my wife and I had a fantastic view of peoples backyards, kitchens, and bedrooms across the wanna be water feature. We also loved the emergency exit that allowed us to see the soda machines people were lining up to at a fish and chips next door. The decorum is extremely worn out. The... More

Ate here twice on our recent trip to the Big Island. Both times, the food was excellent...delicious ahi poke, butterfish, steak, ribs, and of course, the signature chocolate soufflé. First trip, however, the service wasn't quite up to snuff. Our waitress kept forgetting quite a few things...refilling sodas, not checking on desserts other than the ones taking longer. The service on... More

Our family ate at this restaurant in the shopping area near the Hilton Waikoloa Village. We ordered various items on the menu and ate sort of family style. The offerings were varied and all were excellent!

Living in Tampa, we usually frequent our local Roy's and absolutely love it. I'm always looking for an excuse to celebrate and indulge at Roy's. Travelling to Waikoloa, we had to hit Roy's and experience it in the correct setting. The menu was only slightly different but the quality of the food and drink absolutely consistent. The butterfish is one... More

If you want the best fish Hawaii has to offer, go to Roy's. From munchong to mekajiki to butterfish, exotic fish deliciously prepared. Entree was very good but the pineapple upside down cake was out of this world. Great ambience accompanied by exceptional service made this a wonderful dining experience,
