We had a party of 11 with 3 teens two children ages 9 and 5. We made reservations for 7:30 pm they had our table ready and the restraunt was very full. They staff welcomed us then immedately served the little children a snack while we looked over the menu. This was wonderful. I had the rib eye it was... more

We stayed at the Marriott in mid June and based on prior TA reviews decided to head over to Roy's for dinner. We had eaten dinner at the Canoe House and the Marriott Hawaiin Calls restaurant prior to going to Roy's. Both were far better than Roy's. We were disappointed in Roy's as we had read some pretty good reviews... more

I am a big Roy's fan and have all three cook books. My family and I have enjoyed many of the restaurant's, the best so far is Chicago, and this was a flop. I read the other 68 review and have to say the food was a disappointment. I know it is one of the first store's and it is... more

We have eaten at Roy's in Chandler, Scottsdale, Anaheim, and now in Hawaii. Each time we have always had an enjoyable experience. The food was superb from the appetizers to the mouth watering desserts. Service was top notch. Everyone was so welcoming from the moment you walked in the door. We were never left wanting for anything as they were... more

We were staying at the Marriott and had to make our annual pilgrimage to Roy's. We eat at any Roy's we can find because of the excellent service and food and this meal was no exception. We brought our 3 1/2 year old daughter and I was a bit hesitant about us having a nice meal. She was an angel,... more

I dined at Roy's Waikoloa many years ago (in the mid nineties) and am happy to report that my return visit was every bit as good, maybe better. The restaurant has been re-modeled since then, but the place is less bustling than I remember (of course, memory isn't perfect), and the service less hectic. I'm not sure why people complain... more

I went to Roy's almost assoon as it opened. There where three hosts in the front just yaking away, finally as i approached them and said table for two, they then paid attention to us and seated us. It being my first time there our waitress did a good job explaining the menu, actually a little too much making a... more

Just say no to Roy's Waikoloa. The food we ordered was a pricey $25-35 per entree before drinks and taxes, tasted bland, and came in small portions barely enough to feed a bird. Take the pot roast, for example. About 6 ounces placed on top of no more than two spoonfuls of mashed potatoes, garnished with two starved stalks of... more

We've eaten at many of Roy's locations around Hawaii and in Las Vegas, and have never had an experience as bad as this one. We were seated for 15 minutes before we could place a drink order, and it was another 30 minutes before we were able to place a dinner order. Then the food took another 30 minutes to... more

We dined here once during our vacation on the Big Island after hearing and reading numerous high praises for this restaurant. As we were staying in the Waikoloa Beach Resort area, it was a convenient option for dinner. Due to the number of recommendations, we had high expectations for the Hawaiian Fusion cuisine. Unfortunately, we were less than impressed by... more
