We visited with four people. The food is incredibly expensive and everything is a cost. Bread is an extra cost. Salads are bad ingredients and insane priced. Nothing was was worth the price. Glass of wine $25. I can’t say enough how the price far...exceeded the quality of the food.More

We had a very unpleasant night here. Was barely acknowledged by the grumpiest hostess ever- she snarled at us to wait in the bar as there were five couples ahead to seat. We arrived on time but it took 15 minutes for her to come...back. She didn’t bother coming over to where we were seated, but yelled out our name, never made eye contact and pretty much dumped us at our table without saying a word. We had the sweetest waiter though. The food was nice but ridiculously overpriced. During our meal a young couple let their baby scream non- stop for at least 20 minutes. No one did anything to help this inexperienced couple to learn what is not appropriate in an upscale restaurant. The people at the six tables were all glaring but the mom and dad insisted on trying to shove rice down poor hysterical babies mouth. Finally, our sweet waiter said he would validate our parking- he told us to take it to the valet. When we did, the woman who didn’t understand English too well gave us a new ticket. It didn’t work at the exit booth and we were charged 24 dollars. An utterly appalling evening and we won’t be backMore

This was a great dinging experience. Brian, our waiter, was kind and informative. He helped us make great selections from the menu. I had the chicken dish which was tasty and more than I could eat. My friends ordered the butterfish which they enjoyed. Watching...the sunset while we ate was an absolutely breath-taking experience. We highly recommend eating here.More

You cannot get any closer to the ocean than dining at KPC at the Hilton Waikoloa. The restaurant sits perched spectacularly at the water’s edge…only the Pacific Ocean as far as the eye can see. You’ll witness the most glorious sunsets and sit in the...loveliest surroundings. Not unnaturally, the menu focuses on local fish. Plates are most beautifully presented. There are meats for the carnivores and vegetarian options for the health conscious. Starters and salads are bountiful and there is a touch of decadence about the desserts. Service is welcoming, friendly and un-stuffy. This is one of those places for a splurge. By no means cheap, but incomparable in so many ways.More

In a nut shell I have to say that I was expecting way more of a higher end feel and more professional staffing (hostess stand/greeter to servers) be comparable to the price you are paying for the food and drinks. And then the food wasn't...anything to write home about. It felt very buffet like even though it wasn't a buffet. When we arrived the hostess couldn't even bother to say high or even really look at us. She YELLED over to a server to seat us with our party of friends which were already there and seated. The server couldn't hear her, believe it or not, and she yelled back "what" "who" "where". Then we were shuffled to our friends and sat down. They use banquet style table clothes, and set there work stations in the various areas on regular card table amongst all the guest tables. Buffet feel. NOT at all high end and could never compete with the likes of the Four Seasons but the charge close to it. The prices starting with the pupus (starters) is anywhere starting from 30 to 60 dollars. The mains go from 30+ to 70+ pp. Not cheap eats but don't mind spending that if you have comparable service and food. We wouldn't be doing back.More

The best thing about this restaurant is the view. We had seating along the sidewalk and had an unobstructed view of the sunset. Gorgeous! The food - is good - but not great. They try to be more high-end than they really are. The rib-eye...was $84 - no salad - no bread. I've had much better steaks, but again, we had a million dollar view of the sun setting over the pacificMore

We have been making this a dinner stop over the years, we don't make it each visit but try to make it every few years and we are generally visiting in winter months to get a view of the humpbacks offshore. Brian our server has...served us before, been there 32 years and provides the best service. I read complaints on bread service and this is the first time we've seen a charge (thinking there is a reason) but we'd rather not fill up on bread but enjoy our meal. Servings are small but we can rarely finish what is served after a salad and dinner. I will say we do generally order wine vs. drinks as drinks are often watered down as in every resort restaurant we've dined at and just not worth the money. You will not find many ocean front dining experiences on the island and the food has been very good each meal. Servers can vary but we've lucked out with Brian. It is expensive and if you are not staying at the resort parking can be pricey but they do validate parking if you give your ticket to the server.More

Be aware this is a typical in-hotel restaurant. In other words, way overpriced and mediocre food. That said, my vegetarian daughter’s meal of roasted pumpkin & potato gnocchi ($48) was insulting bad. Clearly, no one cares in the kitchen. And, sadly, the great view some...reviewers noted were not available to us as we dined at night.More

-Service was moderate. Lack of attention to detail. -Food was moderate. Several items were left out from what the menu stated. And portions were tiny. -location was good. Panoramic views of the pacific all around. It’s just a half mile walk through the Hilton to...get there…not a great way to traverse. Had to go by a million kids and families as well, as it’s right above the gigantic pool at the Hilton Waikoloa.More

At Hilton Waikoloa Village hotel. The view can't be beat and even better when you get to watch the sunset. The staff are friendly and attentive. We did the $140 fixed price menu pp. Includes wine pairing but it amounted to just over a glass...total. The food was meh 😏 for the price I was expecting great. Catch of the day tasted like it was several days old. Ceviche was not fresh. Probably won't go again.More

You would expect a restaurant that charges a fixed price of $95 per person to sit on their patio at the Hilton would actually be worth it. This was not the case. The evening started out with our server Alfredo not giving us a menus...for 23 minutes after we were seated. Then came a misleading wine list. We ordered a bottle of Caymus, Conundrum Red Blend for $63 (we later found out you can get it for $19 at BevMo). We ordered it because we are familiar with the Caymus winey. We googled the wine after tasting it and seeing it wasn't very good (all 4 of us agreed) and found the following: Conundrum Red Blend is produced by Conundrum Wines in Fairfield, California, USA....NOT produced by Caymus. We turned that bottle back and bought a completely different bottle (An Emblem Cab) that we all enjoyed. The next misleading item was the Wagyu beef and ravioli...(I think it has been taken off the menu, but am not sure)... I assumed that we would have a slice of Wagyu beef and the ravioli separate. NOT THE CASE...Maybe there was a half-ounce of beef filling in the very small ravioli bites served. The other diner’s food was as expected, but not very flavorful. The entire experience left a bad taste (pun intended) in our collective mouths. I certainly hope the restaurant was having a bad night, because if it was the norm, they will lose a great deal of business quickly.More

Picked this restaurant for our anniversary dinner while on the Big Island. Was happy to pay a premium for the three course dinner on the restaurant’s Lanai. However the food was just not worth the money. The signature seafood boil that I chose was not...good and to make things worse I spent the night being sick from it.More

If you want dinner with the sun going down, look no further. If you want amazing food, you may feel it is okay. What we had, was fine, but did not reflect the cost. If you want to order a drink within 20 minutes of...sitting down, you could be very disappointed. I suppose it all depends on your waiter. For our visit, we only managed to get our first drinks order after 20 minutes, and when we wanted a 2nd round of drinks during the meal, we had to ask three people to take a drink order. They turned up after anther 15 minutes. We gave up trying to get a 3rd order. The lack of service and people with kids running around, and the staff not asking them to control them, really detracted from, what is, an amazing view. Trouble is, Hawaii has many amazing views, it’s just this one is in the complex. You may have better service and well behaved children.More

While the view and sunset were spectacular, the price was high for the dinner. We trekked out from Ocean Tower to the other side of the resort for our anniversary dinner. We had a reserved table right at the edge of the walkway with an...unobstructed view of the water. Linda, our server, was attentive and friendly. She made sure that my allergy concerns were addressed in the kitchen. My favorite part of the meal was the salad. My husband loved his ceviche app. The mains were tasty, but my fish (which was an upcharge) was WAY overcooked...to the point I ate 1/3 of the filet. The sauce and bokchoy served with it were cooked well and seasoned perfectly. Desserts were good - we shared the cheesecake and chocolate tart. Overall, you pay for the view and the experience. The $120 per person outside menu was worth it once, but I don't think we will be back the next time.More
